How do I adjust my monitor?

I want to adjust the monitor. In particular I want to adjust the width. I see that in Menu > (the third icon down, a monitor) > there should be a place to adjust the width. However the arrow keys don't move it, the mouse won't select it, the - and + signs don't do anything. How do I move around within menu so that I can make adjustments?
Thank you,
Donair

Sure.....you say "Select the Option" but HOW? Like the last person said, the mouse doesn't do any selecting, re-pressing the buttons does nothing, + and - does nothing, holding the menu button down does nothing....so how do you "Select an Option"?

Sound stopped

There's not much to go on here, but I'll do my best to help. It seems most likely that you turned audio off on your monitor or via your computer's operating system.

If the monitor setting is the problem, you can change it by using the down arrow button on the front of the monitor to scroll through the monitor menu. The fourth item should be Audio Adjust. After highlighting that one, push 2 on the monitor to select that menu item, then press the up arrow on the monitor to increase the volume. When you're happy with the volume, press 1 on the monitor to exit the menu.

If you muted your computer via the operating system, that won't help. If you're using a computer running Windows, look for a speaker icon at the bottom, right of your screen and click it. Slide the volume arrow up to adjust the volume upward.

If those suggestions don't do the trick, please reply with information about your computer, particularly your operating system (e.g. Windows 7, Mac OS 10.5.8 etc.).

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello
Select reset option by monitor menu, set it to default first. Then try to adjust the width and height of the screen. If this does not help you, try other resolutions set by the system.

Above is a manual link. usually you use multiple presses on the buttons to get to the menus. One button, is menu, the others are for up.down & left/Right. The same as for Horz Posn. You press the menu, use the L/R buttons to go to the menu item, then up and down to + or - the setting.
have a look at the manual.

My westinghouse monitor won't align on the screen. i have tried auto adjust already and it is still missaligned.

Ok, with the Auto adjust, but have you actually tried the buttons that actually manually adjust the screen, size, placement, width, height etc, This will allow you complete control over all aspects of your monitor. You usually select, menu, then step through with one button, and change up, down, side to side, with the left & right buttons.

The screen is tilted

You can adjust the keystone of the monitor..
this will remove the trapezoidal shape and square up the image to the monitor.
Check on the monitor for the menu controls and you should be able to find the keystone adjustments... allows you to adjust the upper width, lower width, etc...
