System error I have a message System error C7100.How can I fix it?

    have a kyoceraKM4530 which states" system error; main switch off/on.

Hi,
the c7100 error is a problem with the Auto Toner Sensor.

the first this to check is that you are using a genuine toner cartridge.

if you are please try to re-set the developer by keying in 1087 1087

then 130 press start and then start again once this is done please press stop twice, then 001 and start

if this does not fix it it may need either a new sensor or a new developer unit.

My HP all in one printer C7100 has an error message that says there is an ink system failure error 0xc18a0201 I don't find any solution What should I do. It won't fax either.

Try this solution.


Press and hold the "left arrow" key.

Press the "Setup" key and release both keys.

Display should say "Enter Special Key Combo"
Press and release the "OK" button

1. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says "System Configuration Menu".
2. Press and release the "OK" button.
3. Display should say "Hardware failure status". If not there already, Arrow Key over to "Hardware failure status",
4. Press and release the "OK" button.
5. Display should say "Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear".
6. Press and release the "OK" Button. Message changes to "Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue".
7. Press and release the "CANCEL" button as many times as necessary, so that, either the "Welcome to Photosmart Express" screen appears, or, the "Ink System Failure" screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
8. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.
9. Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer
10. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message "USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER" followed by "PRESS OK TO CONTINUE". Press OK.
11. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer will start the "ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS". Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.

12. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use.

I've just upgraded my OS from 32bit Vista to 64bit Windows 7, I'm now trying to reinstall my printer HP C7100 but I now have an error saying the system does not meet one or more of the minimum...

You need to install the 64 bit driver for Windows 7.

Let's start here: HP C7100 Series Support

You may want to bookmark this page for future reference.

Click on Software & Driver Downloads. Then select your OS from the drop-down menu: Windows 7 (64 Bit). You can download the software or order a CD...or both if desired. If you do not have broadband, forget downloading because the file is almost 300MB.

Here are my suggestions for downloading and installing:

When you get the download window, select Save. This will open a window to direct where to save it. On the left side, click on Desktop and then click the Save button. This will download the file to your Desktop.

When the download is complete, close all programs. Make sure you remove all previous software that you attempted to install. Verify the printer is NOT listed in your Printers folder.

Disconnect one end of the printer's USB cable. Leave it powered on though. Reboot the computer and again verify software and the printer are gone.

Double-click the file on the Desktop that you downloaded. This will begin the install process. Connect the USB cable when prompted.

That should get you going.

I just replaced the cartriges in my photosmart C6180 after it was in storage for months. The error I get is 0xc18a0408 which is an ink system failure. How do I fix this so that I can print again?

go to this link and read the informationed about ink cartridge . after a while the ink dries up and needs to be replaced, as well the printhead may need attention (possible replacement)

Error 0xc18a0101 for hp photosmart c7100

Hi try this I found this I know your error not in here but it may work for It worth a try nothing to lose and it may work. I know your error code is not in this but it some times it clean the error with this type of error number you can gave it a go try not harm it Error code: 0xc18a0201, 0xc18a0206, 0xc18a0306, 0xc18a030a, 0xd0620130, 0x887dd03a, 0xd05d010d, 0xf0af8004, 0xc19ac3ff, 0xc18a050...

Reset the product:
1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Hp Photosmart C7100 All in one series. Error message on printer screen, saying Okc18a0101. cannot Print/scan/Fax etc. What do i do please?

Do a power drain. This is done by pulling out the power cable and then holding the on/off button for a minute, then putting the power cable back in (this didn't work).

Then we did a master reset. Unplug the printer, then pressing the help and ok buttons simultaneously plug it back in. This sorted it. :) 

For me it works!!

Try uninstalling the driver and reinstall the latest version for your printer. You can find the latest version driver for your OS from the HP website downloads page.: http://hp.com

Make sure that you use only genuine HP inks and not refills/generic cartridges, which can also cause this issue.

If neither works, try HP tech support for a resolution, or go through their FAQ pages for your printer.
