Uv8 problem!!!! please help

I bought a phase linear uv8 and I'm getting the impression there are 2 because mine is a uv8 but is different from about half of the other uv8's online. It doesn't seem to have an i pod hookup besides the aux and im afraid that the jlink only applies to the other uv8(if there is 1). I want to control the ipod via touch screen. Can anybody help

Ipod controls usually go to the cd changer input or auxiliary input. They might have just updated the the looks but usually the inside is the same, especially if they have the same model number. By the way you can get that ipod cable really cheap on ebay.

No cd audio from my phase linear uv8

It sounds like you have a factory amp in the vehicle. Check behind the radio to see if you have the blue wire from the deck hooked up to anything. You probably do. So take the blue with white stripe wire coming from the deck and hook that up instead of the solid blue wire.

Need to by pass

Hi,

There are two ways of bypassing the brake sensor in a Phase Linear UV8:
1. ground the pink wire using a toggle switch;
2. Use the unit's built-in bypass software.
a. Select "Tuner" mode (AM/FM);
b. Press the "Setup" button;
c. With the use of the remote, press 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and then press and hold 0 for a couple of seconds or until the menu changes. d. d. Display should show hidden menu. Among the options would be to turn ON the "Brake override";
e. Press th "X" on the bottom leftmost corner.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FIXYA.
