Fridge side doesnt seem to be keeping food cold. even though I have reduced the temp as low as it will go. Freezer side working just fine. I have noticed that the meat/vege adjustment lever keeps gathering ice over it. It sort of frosts over and I break the ice off and it comes back.

There is a balance between the freezer and fridge. Reduce the freezer temp and see what the fridge temp does. By reduce I
mean make the freezer warmer. If it is set too cold the fridge gets colder.

I would first try replacing the control in the fridge. If that doesn't remedy the situation, I would try replacing the thermostat next.

I sell many replacement Main PCB controls for these units, Defienetly sounds like your problem. Ecspically if the freezer is still cooling. So that rules out your compressor.

in the fridge compartment check behind the control panel where the light bulbs are remove this cover and make sure the damper vent door opens and closes when adjusted with the fridge control sometimes they ice up from condensation and freeze in one position and this may let too much cold air in from the freezer for too long,otherwise it also could be a defective electronic control board in this same area

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

check freezer for frost build up and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, freezer control should be in the middle setting, you can try turning that to Warmer freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.

It sounds like cold air from the freezer isn't making it to the fridge compartment. This can be cause by a several things. The damper that lets air into the fresh food side is stuck in "closed" position, the temp sensor (t-stat) isn't working properly, the evaporator fan (in the freezer comp above the coils) isn't working to blow air up to the fresh food section. In some situations, the defrost cycle for the freezer section isn't working and the coils have frozen into a block of ice and air can't flow over them properly so you get not cold air to the fresh food section but the freezer still stays cold due to the block of ice.
