Usb port on presario F500 quit working, they are seen by device manager but will not reconize a flashdrive when incerted, a mouse or any thing else. Using win 7,64 bit t3500 cpu.

Hello,

This should be pretty easy to fix. I have seen this many times before. Here's what to do:

Go into device manager and expand 'universal serial bus controllers'.

Start at the very bottom, and start deleting the usb root hubs one by one. You will lose your touchpad control at some point, as the touchpad is actually a usb device. One of thwo things will happen.

1. The usb hubs will automatically be re-detected and re-installed.
2. You will just lose touchpad control after deleting one of the root hubs. If this happens, then shut down using the power button, and restart. Th usb hubs will be reinstalled once you log back into windows. Please let me know if this doesn't fix it.

Sir i have dell inspiron laptop 1564 , windows 7 ultimate , i want 1366 x 768 resolution , but i have only low and high (1024 x 768 ). how to solve it.

Make sure you have the correct video drivers installed.
1) Open your start menu, right click on "Computer," and click on "Manage." 2) On the left hand side-panel, click on "Device Manger." 3) You will likely find a device called "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" under the heading "Other Devices". crasher35_5.jpg
4) If this is the case then you need to install the correct video drivers for your machine. It should either have Intel graphics or ATI Mobility Radeon graphics. You can download and install your drivers from here: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INSPIRON1564&os=W764&osl=en&catid=&impid= 5) If these did not come up, there may be the possibility that your drivers are not installed correctly or you have the wrong drivers installed. 6) Try double clicking on the "Display adapters" heading, then right click on the display adapter listed and click on "Update Driver Software..." 7) Follow the on-screen instructions and allow Windows to search Windows Update for appropriate drivers. It's usually pretty good at finding the right one if it can find one at all.

WiFi can't instlalling in my laptop(dell Inpiron N5010),

Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-Bit) are available.
As the laptop comes with 64-Bit version, these drivers are available at Dell Official Site.
Dell Inspiron WLAN (Wifi) Driver for Windows 7 32Bit are not available from Dell Official or Microsoft Update (online).
I came accross this issue and solved it by searching 32Bit Drivers for the WLAN hardware and found the drivers. Below is the link from Intel Official Support.
Intel WiFi Link 1000BGN Drivers
Download/ Install the drivers/ and Enjoy wireless internet connectivity!
From adaptor properties - Advanced, select AUTO for 802.11n Channel Width to experience 300Mbps downlink Data Rate.!!!

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

My dell mini inpiron was not working very well..how can i upgrade this? to run faster? What do I need to do?

The Dell mini comes with the 1GB memory and the atom processor which is a very low configuration... This system is deticated for internet purpose alone... The system can be upgraded to any version of windows but it will make your computer even very slow.. So use the windows that came along with it.. Use the disk defragmentar and the disk cleanup periodically that may increase the system speed

Dell inspiron

Try booting into safe mode by continually pressing the F8 key while the system is starting up..this should allow you to get into windows where you can try to reinstall your drivers. Most likely this is a driver issue with the video card or your refresh rate or display resolution is set too high.
