Nearly all appliances that use high heat in their operation such as your waffle maker, coffee makers, toasters, use a thermal fuse to prevent fire. Unfortunately, these fuses are all coming from China and are very poorly made. Additionally, they are mostly welded to their mounts since the heat to which they are exposed is too high for soldering or fuse holders and are not user replaceable.
You will need to ship back your waffle maker to the mfr. for repair and you should have plenty of time left on your warranty.

How do I replace the coil on my WMB-4 waffle maker?

It's most likely not the coil that's the problem, probably a thermal fuse. Unfortunately, these Made in China waffle makers do not last and are basically disposable after a few short years. Better off replacing it with a good quality, vintage 'Made in USA' Sunbeam waffle iron. You can find good deals online on eBay and Amazon.

I have a swb7re waffle iron. What's the best way to clean it?

Hello, W/D here.
Not everyone will tell you this, but here's the best way. When you are finished with the waffle maker, the plates will be oily. That's good. Wipe down the outside of the appliance with mild soapy water, followed by clean water. Wipe down the plates with clean water only, just enough to remove any left over waffle material. Then, dry the plates with paper towels, or a soft cloth. You want to avoid detergent on the plates, as this strips the oil off which seasons the plates, making better waffles.
Best regards, --W/D--

Waffle maker won't heat

There is a thermal fuse inside the bottom half of the unit, enclosed in a white insulating sleeve. A replacement can be found on Amazon.com at the following URL:

No heat on brand new Waring WMK300 waffle maker

Lots of appliance makers include a 1 800 number with the paperwork that comes with an appliance.

I would try to find that number and call them. They owe you a replacement unit. If you can't find the number do a Google search for Waring and they should have a tel number and/or a "contact us" place to send and email.

Good luck Loringh
