TV works fine except the color is essentially non-existant, picture appears to be a black & white TV. Otherwise this is the first issue w/ the projection TV. Please advise

Thanks for using FixYa. This issue is caused by failed convergence ICs. I don’t think the issue is with the power supply of the unit as the sound is coming fine from the unit. Please also check the convergence board for cracked solder. If you want to do the repair yourself there are repair kits available which includes instructions on how to replace them. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Rylee, issue is B/W picture that means no color in picture. It has nothing to do with your favorite convergence ICs replacement advise. You need to learn a lot about tv and until than please avoid answering tv questions/ chats.

Fixing tv is my business that is why advising you to learn some thing about tv.
