I can not log onto my zoom router.....forgot my pass key for network need to add laptop

The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router.

Plug the router into your pc with an ethernet cable ( unless you can log onto the router wirelessly ), log onto the router and set/change your network key.
If you are unsure how, just google youe router and set up.
When you have your network key from the router you can set your wireless printer up

Log into your router's web interface, if possible through a computer connected to the router by cable, by starting an internet browser and navigatng to its maintenance IP address, usually set by many manufacturers to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. An authentication request will come up. As you haven't speciffied your router model, there are routers whose both user name and password fields are set to 'admin'. Other routers use 'admin' as user name only, requiring the password field to be left empty. Once you get into the router's web interface, go to the wireless settings, and change the wireless passphrase to a new one of your choice. Make sure to change the other devices, which use to connect to the router, to the same new passphrase.

I ran into this with my home network and my old g3 ibook needed the older speed wifi to connect. I found my old wifi router, hooked an ethernet cable to the newer router (in a regular ethernet port) and connected the other end to the internet port on the old one... they linked and worked fine to provide wifi for the old G3's ..

If you are missing the encryption key, you can go to another computer on the network that is connected wirelessly and get the key using Wireless Key View http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html

If you know the password to the router, you can log onto the router and find the key there under the router's wireless settings.

if you have forgote your network key, you will need to log into the gui for the route, get the network security key, then when you goto connect your other computer and try to connect to it you will need to type that key in and you will be all set

First of all, try the router serial number as the key (I do this so you can't forget it).
If that doesn't work you could log into the router and see if you can see it there.
If that doesn't work then do a factory reset then set up the network key using the serial number.

If you have forgotten your password to log into the unit, you can get it back to the factory defaults by pressing and holding the reset button on the back of the unit for approximately 5 seconds

If you can log into the unit, you can reset it through the menus.

All you need to do is log into the router usually with the pc that is attached to the router (wired) by typing into the run command box http://192.168.1.1 Depending on the brand of router you'll either put in admin and no password or admin for the password or admin and password for password. Once in the router go to the wireless security tab and you can see the network key. Hope this helps
