How do i open the config manager

Try this:
To access the Zoom Configuration Manager (web-based configuration utility) on the Zoom DSL modem:
  1. Close any open programs including antivirus and pop-up blockers.
  2. Open a web browser, and in its address bar, type http://10.0.0.2 (or http://192.168.0.1 for Zoom ADSL X6v users) and then press Enter (or Return).
  3. In the Enter Network Password dialog box, type the following username and password in lowercase then click OK. (Note: The modem User Name and Password you enter here are NOT the same as the User Name and Password that your Internet service provider may have given you.)
    • User Name: admin
    • Password: zoomadsl (where "l" is a lowercase letter L)
If you are not prompted for a User Name and Password, click here for more information.

My zoom ADSL X6 works well for my ethernet. Yet

hello. with regard to your concern.. the network key is probably under the adsl x6 or at the side of the device.. if you cant see it.. try to access the setup page, but you need to know the default gateway of your adslx6, to check the ip address right click the network icon on the lower right taskbar of your computer and select on status, select support and it will show the details.. ex. your default gateway is 192.168.1.1, pull up a brower and at the url, type the default gateway, 192.168.1.1 then it will ask for the username and password.. after entering the username and password.. go to the wireless setting and it will show there the network key..

Error on istalling zoomx6

Do it manually.
Connect your PC to your router with an ethernet cable. Type http://10.0.0.2 into your web browser. Enter the username Admin and the password zoomadsl. Go to Basic setup, fill in your ISP username and password under PPP and click "configure my connection" then save and write to flash (at bottom of page)

You dont need both. Do the following:
Unplug your speedtouch from the phone line at the back of the speedtouch unit. Plug that cable into your Zoom. Then plug one end of an ethernet cable into router and one end into your PC. Zoom x6 router

Well for most zoom X6 routers I saw it's

http://10.0.0.2

That should take you to the main page. The manual is located here for X6 models.

http://www.zoom.com/techsupport/adsl/adsl_x6.shtml

In the manual it's on page 13. I would download a copy of the manual and read it as well.

Zoom X6 wireless router

Hi, With or without the firmware update, the wireless should work and be indicated with the WLAN led. Have you done an update? Have you tried a hard reset? Most routers would require a reset to default after a firmware update. Pls be reminded that when you do a hard reset, all configuration would be lost, better log them down or do a backup. Alternately, you can check your router's web based configuration manager, apparently, there is an enable/disable feature/selection for the WLAN. Verify that is set to enable. Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turned out or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.
