This message happens sporadically; sometimes when the status beeps it only says what sensor is open; other times I get the time and "module 1 failure". I need to know if this is something I can fix. Also if a window or door is open and the alarm is not being set it beeps at odd times telling the door or window is open. I've been off work 17 mos and the company wants $80 trip charge and 15 minutes, then $25 for every 15 minutes after, plus parts.

Is the module or a sensor , wire near the panel ? Check for loose wire connections , wires on sensors and check the module for bad connections and let me know what you find , sometimes the module can act up too from a bad transformer or just a failing module

If the problem is the Communication Failure, try to reprogram the Home Security System. The codes that you need are indicated in the user's manual. If reprogramming the Simon would not resolve the problem, try to get the master code from the manufacturer.
Reprogramming the device should resolves the issue.

Two separate problems: Sensor failure and phone communication failure. Most likely, you've not been hooked up to a phone for a while but the system didn't know until it tried to transmit to the monitoring center that you removed a cover on a sensor.
I can tell you how to turn off the panel beeps, "beeps" not only includes the trouble beeps that are driving you crazy, but also the beeps letting you know it's counting down, either when you've just armed it or when you come home right before the alarm sounds.
Open the cover and enter your code using the red numbered buttons inside there. It doesn't beep when you press buttons, so press them well. When you've done it right, it will tell you to choose from the Start Menu. Choose "DELETE". Then, from the Main Menu, choose "OPTION #". Then press DONE. You have now turned off beeps. You haven't fixed anything and that sensor still isn't working but it's not beeping to get your attention now. Press SYSTEM STATUS two times to hear it tell you what's going on.
To turn beeps on again, open cover, enter code and choose ADD > OPTION # > DONE.
Beep codes and power LED status are pre-post errors. Usually beep codes indicate a problem with a memory module. Power LED is solid green for normal operation. Solid or blinking Amber color power LED indicates a power distribution problem. Your responses are intended to improve the level of service provided. IN CASE OF POWER FAILURE OR IF ANSWERING SYSTEM IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY
If a power failure occurs or the plug comes out of the wall, your unit
will shut down until the power is restored. One 9-volt battery must be
installed to retain your personal greeting message and incoming
messages during the power failure. Occasionally outside factors, such
as power surges, may adversely affect the unit. If the unit is not
operating properly or if the light continues to flash once power is
restored, try these steps:
1. Unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet.
2. Remove the 9-volt battery. Replace with a fresh 9-volt battery.
3. Plug AC adapter back into power outlet.
4. When your unit is initially plugged in, it will check its memory for approximately 3 seconds.
Three deep tones will be heard if you attempt to record a greeting message before this
period.
5. Record a new greeting message.
