mallesh: There is a switch on the bottom left of the player, flick this switch to the left using a small screwdriver, then flick it to the right. Hold down the windows logo button, and hold the left button on the directional button. This will bring it into firmware recovery mode. Next download this file:
Gigabeat S firmware. Follow the instructions and your player will be fixed.
llchuk: Try formating the storage media in Windows Media Player. If that doesn't work, update the firmware by downloading it from the link I posted for mallesh. It should work after the firmware update.
