Toshiba Gigabeat MES60V will not hold charge

Firstly, sorry for posting slightly off topic as I have a different model, but I can't find any other support anywhere so this is a last-ditch attempt. I bought my Toshiba MES60V in February and as of about two weeks ago it won't hold a charge. If it's plugged into the AC adapter, I can turn it on, but the second I bump the cord it reboots and resets itself. When plugged in, the AC adapter plug (into the unit) seems to jiggle quite a bit, so the pin may be broken or loose. I tried to find warranty information on the Toshiba website and got nowhere as it says that my model/serial number are invalid. I called the Toshiba service center and upon choosing "Gigabeat" from their options of "PC or Gigabeat" was told that the Gigabeat center couldn't help me and that I needed to call the first number back and they had no clue what to do from there. Does anyone have any idea of a contact number or an email I can use to get in touch with them to find out how to send my player back? It is still within the 1 year warranty. Thanks in advance. Can't find warranty information for Toshiba gigabeat MES60VK. I've tried the Toshiba website but can't find any information.

I am trying to register an Adobe program on my computer and I can't because the program says my serial number is invalid. It seems like there are many people with this problem.

MES60V suddenly stopped charging.

Download, and install the firmware. It should work after that. It might of formatted the storage partition of the device, but you can resync it after you update the firmware on the device. You can get the firmware here: Gigabeat S Firmware.

Recovery problem

mallesh: There is a switch on the bottom left of the player, flick this switch to the left using a small screwdriver, then flick it to the right. Hold down the windows logo button, and hold the left button on the directional button. This will bring it into firmware recovery mode. Next download this file: Gigabeat S firmware. Follow the instructions and your player will be fixed.
llchuk: Try formating the storage media in Windows Media Player. If that doesn't work, update the firmware by downloading it from the link I posted for mallesh. It should work after the firmware update.

Problem with TOSHIBA gigabeat model MEGX30

When you attempt to charge the player does they screen display the image of the charging plug? If not the battery may have died, in which case it needs to be replaced.
