Why dont i have an internal recording device?

you have an internal recording device. It consists of a built-in webcam and microphone. to make a recording, use the cyberlink webcam program that's pre-installed on your laptop. you'll find it listed somewhere in the start / all programs list in windows 7. also, for sound recording only, the windows 7 audio recorder is located under start / all programs / accessories / sound recorder. select it and click the red record button. also, windows 7 has a feature or program called problem steps recorder. it records activity on your screen including mouse movement. i don't know if it records sound. to access it type psr in the search window and select psr in the search results, then click on start record.

The recording sound can not detect any voice

Make sure you have the volume turned up on the microphone and make sure the microphone is not muted. Also go into your audio properties and make sure the voice recording and microphone is selected and you might be able to run a test from there also.

Hi, I recently reformatted my hard drive and installed Windows 7. Before that, I had windows vista and my mic worked fine. Now, windows 7 picks up the mic and says it's enabled and it's not muted,...

Check the web-site of the manufacturer of the computer (and the motherboard) to see if they have updated device-drivers for Windows 7.

Are you sure that you've plugged the microphone into the 'pink' ("microphone-in") socket?

Open the "sound-mixer" application, and check that the "microphone-in" is not muted,
and that the slider is pushed to the maximum level.

Try a different microphone.

My internal microphone has muted itself. how do i unmute it

Look down at your task bar, click on the little speaker and it will bring up a window. Uncheck "muted". Or go on your device manager(control panle, system, device manager) and find your microphone. Double click and make sure it is enabled.

Built in microphone not working on acer pc

The issue can occur due to corrupted drivers or incorrect settings of microphone.
I recommend you to follow the steps in the below links:

http://notebook-solutions.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal20.cfm?recordid=1146&formid=3390&website=AcerPanAm.com&siteid=7117&words=All&keywords=microphone&areaid

If you have corrected all the options, drivers are reinstalled or updated and if the issue still persists then follow the below steps:

Open Run and type mmsys.cpl and click on OK.
click on Test Hardware option in Voice tab and follow the onscreen instructions.
The internal microphone option should be selected when the related window appears.
You can now check if your microphone works or not.
bae4ea4.jpg

You can see the green bar beside the Recording option which represents the working of the microphone, if you get the message that your voice is not detected click on Back and check the Internal Microphone and now the microphone should work.

My computer is not detecting microphone when making internet phone calls.

Troubleshooting - Can't get voice chat to work.
Here are a few things you should know and check for to get the voice chat to work. · Firewalls - the voice chat feature may not work well behind company firewalls. Even though you can get other features of Yahoo! Messenger to work, the voice chat feature uses separate technology and may not work as well.
· Check connection - When you enter into a voice chat with friends, each participant should take turns trying to press and hold down the Press to Talk button. Everyone else should see their name turn red when they do that. If you see their names turn red, but don't hear anything, it may be a microphone / speaker problem, or it may be that we have more bugs that we need to fix. If you don't see their name turn red, you are probably having connection problems and that's why it's not working.
· Get the latest version - Please make sure that everyone who is using the voice chat feature has the latest version.
· Check mic and speakers - Check that your microphone works and that your speakers are turned on. Here's how:
* make sure the mic is plugged in correctly.
* adjust the mic properties.
- go to the control panel (start button -- settings -- control panel)
- click on the multimedia icon
- you should see a tab for audio
- make sure that the recording volume is set high.
* you can test your mic. by doing the following.
- Click the Windows Start button, then go to Programs, then Accessories, then Multimedia, then click on Sound Recorder
- A new window called Sound Recorder will pop up. Click on the record button (a red circle), then say a few words, then click the stop button (black square).
- Click the play button (black triangle).
If you can hear yourself fine, then your microphone is okay. If you can't hear your voice using Sound Recorder, the voice chat should not work either.
