You will need to make sure you have the application installed, if you haven't check on Samsung website.
If its still not showing up you might need a driver for it depending on what OS you have, again that will be on the Samsung website.
If its still not showing after both these steps it may have got a fault
How have you formatted(ntfs/fat/fat32)? Most players use the fat file system, and won't work using ntfs or fat32. Have you wiped the firmware? The firmware is the players operating system and needs to be there to run it. If you run the firmware upgrade program, if you have it, you may be able to recover the player. www.samsung.com try the site for the firmware upgrade program.
totally formated unit but windows xp would not recognise firmware although unit has been formatted before and reloaded
