Samsung YP-K3 mp3 player requires driver but I have no cd!!

I have a Samsung YP-K3 mp3 player and need to install driver for it put don't have the installation cd! I cannot find a site to download it from can you help?!!

The samsung site does not have it! Very irritating!!

    No thats not it thats just the media centre not the driver for the actual mp3. Without the correct drivers the media centre won#t be able to recognise the mp3 player

    I have just bought my son a samsung K3, it is not recognised on his PC but it doesn't have a problem being recognised by the two laptops that we have in the house. We are all running Vista and have the latest media player installed. And I have tried installing the disc and downloading from the samsung website etc. Nothing works, it still says that it cannot find the drivers. Is there a solution.?

I've had this problem. Windows media player doesn't seem to find it, and I couldn't figure out which file I needed from the site. I have xp, but I'm assuming this might also work for vista. Go to Control Panel. Open System. Click the Hardware tab. Click the Device manager button. Find the yellow question mark labled Samsung YP-K3 and doubble click it. This should open a window that will let you (re)install the driver, which it will find for you after having you set up a few simple options. Hope this helps.

    hey tried this didnt work couldnt locate.. nothing here has workd for me, iv downloaded media studios and still couldnt find it the problem is that there isnt a driver on my computer so i downloaded driverboost said i have 33 drivers problems that need to be fixed but i need a registration key?? anyone can help me find a viable crack for driver boost... i also had my mp3 working on my laptop but not on my xp system....

    okay i figured it out for me i was running windows 9 this was the problem the driver came when i downloaded the newer windows media player 11 hope it works for you..

You can download the software for your player direct from here

You will need to have a wroking Windows Media Player 10 on your PC also. Use the software at the link I gave you to manage your files on your media player.

The samsung website does have it...just type in your model number when you get to the 'download center', which is located under 'support'.

The Samsung site does have the software. When you go to download centre, it defaults to the PDF manuals. Click the 'Software' tab, and youl find a link to the "Samsung Media Studio" package. I think that may be what you r looking for

I think there are 2 problems being discussed here:
1. Samsung Medio Studio
2. Vista not recognising the K3

The first is solvable with the downloads. The second one isn't and is the one I have. I have dual boot on my system with XP and the K3 works fine in XP but Vista just says 'there was a problem installing the driver'.

    The problem is not with Samsung Medio Studio or Windows Media Player - whatever you do with these programmes won't solve the problem.



    The problem is that Vista won't load the driver for the device. Without the driver no programme (even windows explorer) can see the device.

I also have a samsung yp t7j. i don't kno how to solve my problem...when i take off recorded files such as a lecture or a rec. song they will all turn into one same file. so when i try to play a different lecture it will instead play the last lecture i took off the yp. yet, when listening to lectures directly from yp, all is fine.

Yeh samsung is prolly the best bet. Ive just recently moved house so all my cds are packed in boxes and im too lazy.

Just wish companys would just release drivers only. Seems silly to download 50 meg for a driver thats most likely 1/5th or 1/10th the size.

    its not about your Windows Media Player (ver 9 , 10 or 11) , its about your opperating system , at last you need to have Windows XP SP3 , so your SAMSUNG YP-K3 will be able to connecte with your PC , its all you need to do :D

you should click in the 'downloads' tab the 'software' link and then download and install the 'multi media studio' application.

Select the matching device from the list.

On the next page select the tab Downloads :

For computer software EMODIO and MULTIMEDIA STUDIO select Software and download the required execute file.

Firmware for the player can be selected under Firmware: download the zip file and look under Description how to perform the update.
