My top load washing machine leaks only at the time of discharging water. There is no leakage during the wash or rinse cycle. I have checked the hoses and all are fine. The water is coming from underneath the machine--or at least that's the best I can determine. The machine is not that old. I would hate to have to pay for a repair visit due to the costs, and then find I need to replace the machine on top of the repair cost.

Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front
door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and
not on the drain cycle end.
you have a leak in your outlet hose normally caused by rubbing on the drum barrel / repair with tape or replace whole hose but this brand of wASHER ITS VERY HARD TO REPLACE IF DONT KNOW HOW TO
Maytag Epic is leaking water from the bottom about 8 or 9 inches from the front door back on the right side. Is there and thing i can do. It only about 2 years old or less.
The pumps usually have rubber hoses fitted them and they can deteriorate over time, moreso around the clamps that hold them onto the pump. Also, maybe the pump has been slightly opened via a worn seal. Either way, there may be a risk of fire if any water gets onto the electrical connections of the pump or spray onto any other open electrical connection inside the machine. It would certainly be advisable to have it checked with some urgency.
During the final rinse and spin, I would think the pump may not be used during these cycles.
If water is leaking only during the times when it is supposed to be coming in , then the first places to check are at the hose connections and the hoses themselves. If it continues to leak after the water stops coming in , then you have to look at the drain connection and finally at the drum seal.
Sounds like the water seal is damaged and the leaking water has damaged the top bearing which is just below the water seal. You will need to have the hub & seal kit replaced.
