The machine went through a cycle and stopped in the middle of a rinse cycle. Trying to restart, the red lock symbol kept lighting up and would hear the lid lock mechanism activate. Tried switching machine off etc like manual says but no luck. Is the lid mechanism faulty?

could be faulty. was the lid lock chattering ? is the lid seated properly? have you got an electrical test meter? if you have please reply and i can help you test it electrically. lid lock could have mechanical damage. by memory i think i have had the same problem on a customers machine and i changed the lid lock. the only other thing it could be is the control module.

The lid lock was clicking. I took it apart and watched the lock as i pressed the start button. pressing the start button would make the shaft of the locking armature go in and when i pressed pause it would move back out again only when i had it with lid catch in the closed position.I can get a testing meter from my dad, just let me no how to test it please. thanks.

Machine would not work in any cycle. I forgot to menton the machine went off balance cos it moved to the uneven surface of the floor. The lid is not damaged. Can the machine operate with just a small of water and no clothes?

hi. machine doesn't have LCD . it has a series of flush buttons with wash options( from regular to easy iron) underneath that row there are more buttons : temp(hot, warm, cold), spin(fast, med, slow, hold), softner(on,off), delay start(9hr,3hr,1hr), soak(on,off), advance(wash, rinse, spin). there is also a high efficiency button and a play/pause button. ther is also a spanner and lock symbol that illuminate. the whole panel is like a touch pad which the selected options light up in red. pressing the play button causes the lid lock to activate and the lock symbol illuminates. if u keep stuffing around with the buttons the spanner lights up.

If the lid lock is activating then testing it electrically wont help. you say that the lid lock is working when you manually put the lid lock in the closed position., is that correct?if it is, does the machine work on the spin cycle once you have manually activated the lid lock? have you checked for damage to lid? please reply 4 more help.

sorry to keep asking questions but just trying to sort this problem for you. now does your machine have an lcd display?if it does select traditional wash, low water level, not auto water level. then push start. if it has not got an lcd display select low water fill, not auto fill, and push start. try to put machine on level ground before you do the cycles. by the way select cold water fill for the cycle and make sure the cold tap is on. please reply on how it went and we can rectify this problem quickly.

hi, sorry for the confusion, just needed to know which machine you have. it is an aqua smart machine , on your model it has no water level . now here is the instructions to get into fault finding mode. 1st-- turn power off then on at the wall. 2nd -- push and hold the WASH TEMPERATURE BUTTON and POWER BUTTON at the same time and hold for 2 sec"s then release both of them. 3rd -- push SPIN SPEED UP BUTTON 3 times. after you do this your SLOW AND HOLD LIGHT will light up indicating that you are in the fault finding mode. now on the row of lights from REGULAR to EASY IRON what ones are lit up? please reply to tell me what lights are lit and i will look in my fault code book and tell you what part is faulty.now to exit the fault finding mode ,turn power off on the power point. good luck

'low rinse' stuck on with full rinse aid, can't start wash cycle

Actually, if you look closely at that Low Rinse button or emblem, you will see a little lock symbol above the words "Low Rinse", and I'll bet THAT light is the one that is on. Basically, you have the control lock (or child-lock) turned on. To turn it off, you have to press and hold the Sanitize button for 3 to 5 seconds until that light goes off. Now your dishwasher will work!

My whirpool locked light keeps flashing and wont wash

Hi

The light is flashing due to the door lock error. The door lock is activated as the machine experienced an error or was stopped in middle of a cycle. Or the door was being pulled while the machine was running a cycle. Try unplugging your washer and restart the washer to check if you are still getting the same blinking light. If error is still not resolved then start the rinse/spin cycle & stop the cycle, now press and hold the cancel button for 5-10 seconds. However, if you are still not able to get the door open then you'll need to open the door manually by disassembling the washer.
Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

DE code on WM0642HW TROMM washing machine We've been getting this error code on our washing machine for some time. The code is coming up quite frequently now. It stops the cycle so the load is not...

HI, this is a Door Open Error.

Possible Causes are..-

* Door not all the way closed
* Loose electrical connections at door switch and pwb assembly(Control Board)
* Door switch assembly is out of order(Miss aligned)
* Gasket on door may be creased in

Most common issue here will be a defective door lock switch. check all causes before replacing the switch.

Machine just stopped in the middle of a wash cycle

that's an interlock issue..only way to do that is to unplug the whole machine, and then run the timer through it's paces, manually, to near the end of a rinse cycle, then restart the machine.

should pick up the timer, which is probably jammed, and let you open the lid.
