This will say that if win you put the files on it was on a diferant defice that stores the files in a differnt format and the only way to view thim would be on that device your best bet is to press x and go to the folder see if thar is anything in it if it isnot reading it you must reformat it to get it to read it...because it isnot in a readable formate now it may or may not read it on your device...hope ths helps,

How to unlocked pny optima sd memory card 4gb

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

On your SD Card, there is a Lock switch. Turn the Lock off to unlock the memory card.

Is a SDHC Memory Card 4GB compatible with my Canon Powershot SD600 camera?

Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 2GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity.

PNY optima SD HC 4GB card will not read

Try putting a tiny piece of scotch tape over the lock slider. See if that works.

Please can you tell me if an SD card called SD Ultra 11 66X 2GB will be read by a standard SD card reader

Yes, i t should be unless it is a SDHC Card which it should not be as SDHC cards have minimum 4 GB capacity. For more info:

The older SD (secure digital) cards had a maximum capacity of 2GB. The SDHC (secure digital high capacity) cards can go to 32GB. Devices that support SDHC will say so in their specs and they will also read older SD card. Older devices that use SD cards will NOT use SDHC.

"SDHC (Secure Digital High-Capacity) cards are flash memory cards with a minimum capacity of 4GB (gigabytes). SDHC cards provide removable memory for compatible digital devices including cameras, camcorders, PDAs, MP3 players and more.

Cannot install 4GB card into TL220. Do I have the

According to Samsung's page on this camera, the following memory can be used:

External Memory(Optional) : Micro SD (up to 4GB)
Micro SDHC (up to 8GB)

4 GB is acceptable, but I think you do not have the correct type of card. You should be using a Micro SD or "Micro Secure Digital" (up to 4GB capacity) or a Micro SDHC or "Micro Secure Digital High Capacity" (up to 8 GB capacity) card. This is very different from an SD or SDHC card. These Micro cards are very small (smaller than your thumbnail) and are often packaged with an SD adapter card. Regardless if sold with or with out the adapter, the package should say Micro SD or Micro SDHC on it somewhere.

SD cards

Do the 4GB Cards say SDHC on them? They should. SDHC is simply "Secure Digital High Capacity". They're high capacity SD cards that hold more than regular cards. In this case, 4GB. The problem with these is that they need to be supported by the device. I've never put an SDHC card into a device that doesn't support them, but it looks like that's what your situation is. The highest memory capacity a non-SDHC compliant device is capable of 2GB. I recommend that you return the 4GB cards and buy 2GB cards instead.

SD HC isn't comptible with that device. The best you can do is 2gb.

You can only use SD HC cards for devices approved for it.
