Just goto th hp site and enter the model of you scanner, download the drivers. Don't forget to select your systems operating system (XP, VISTA)

You can download the installation driver and software from manufacturer's site by clicking this link

  • On the page which opens, select the operating system of your computer (Windows Xp/ Vista..) from the drop-down menu and click the "Next" button. Then download and install the required drivers and software.
  • The list of available drivers will load only after selecting the operating system of the computer.

The drivers of the scanner is not correct one, you need to un-install it and download drivers from HP web site by clicking HERE and then re-install drivers along with software.

If you have lost the disk you will need to download and install driver software from HP website.

Click on the link below and select your operative system, and follow the instructions to download the driver software.

Run the driver file with scanner USB not connected, after download is complete.

HP scaner scanjet 2400
You need to reinstall the whole scanner software, you cannot just copy and paste a DLL into the system.
Dll files must be registered, you need to use driver installer for your scanner.

Please click here to download drivers for your hp scanjet 2400.
Choose your version of windows from the list, then click ' HP Scanjet Full Feature Software and Driver'

This will setup your printer and the necessary software you would usually find on the CD.
