I have a Samsung Hl-P5063wx/xaa that I recently replaced the bulb (3 months ago) then a week later replaced the color wheel. I now get only sound no picture whatsoever. I hooked up a different tv to the receiver and it works fine. No picture when I attempt to get to the menu either. Any suggestions?

Samsung BP96-01579A Color Wheelno the fans will not produce a high pitched noise. they will ususally produce a dull noise because they dont spin anywhere near as fast as the color wheel. the color wheel will start up before you see video and stay on for few moments after power down. if the fans were faulty the tv would give you message on screen.

Sounds like maybe color wheel. Does it whine or screetch a bit? That's color wheel.

could be the ballast for the lamp, power supply board or the color wheel.if lamp comes on, it is probably the color wheel.

Replace the color wheel

It can be the Lamp Ballast as well as the Color Wheel.

It is the color wheel, inside the light engine. The bearings get dirty and makes it harder for the wheel to spin causing that whin.
