Canoscan driver I have a canosan lide 20/30 and now have a vista computor. Sanner will not work. Need driver for vista I have a new notebook with Windows Vista, But my CanoScan LIDE 30 do not work after sofware instalation. Could you please notice my about Canon driver update.? Tanks in advance

Canon canoscan lide 100
Firstly try attaching scanner to a computer running an earlier version of windows and confirm the scanner is working OK.
If you are satisfied the scanner works the problem may lie in the fact the Windows VISTA does not have the necessary driver and/or does not support this scanner. Your alternative is to go to hamrick.com and download a trial version of vuescan which should get the sanner working. If it does, then may be worthwhile investing in the program and happy scanning.

Wont scan with new computer , uses vista
Unfortunatly there is no driver made by cannon to make this unit work with Windows Vista and they are not going to invent one either.

However did you use Vista to id the unit as a scanner and use Vista's Windows Gallery as a scanner software?

Canon lide scanner vista 64 drivers
This is the link to the drivers and CanoScan Toolbox.
Click on the Drivers & Downloads on this page then choose Vista(64) as your OS

Canoscan does not work on vista 64-bit
I'm not sure if this will work on the lide 20. I have an lide 35, and there are no 64 bit drivers for it. I downloaded and installed the drivers for the lide 60, told the computer to manually find the lide 60 drivers for my scanner, and installed the canoscan toolbox for vista 64 bit. Works like a champ.

Canoscan driver
Check Canon. But don't hold your breath- the peripherals industry are up in arms about have to provide drivers because of Vista. If the Scanner worked on XP/2000 it should have carried on. But no chance if it is one from the 95/98 era. I am not familiar with yet with Vista[perhaps never will be] but in XP under Start/Programs/accessories/ you would find a compatibility tab. here you can reset the system to run as 95/8- does such a thing exist with Vista?
