I was watching my Sony WEGA KDF-50E2000 and there was a pop and the screen went out. I turned it off and then back on. When I turned it back on the power button started flashing green and doesnt stop. The fan starts up but there is this whining noise that starts for 5 seconds and then repeats itself immediatley. after that its gone for a while. then it comes back all the while the green power light continues to flash and the fan continues to run. any thoughts>?

Did you replaced lamp in TV recently? I think TV needs new lamp as existing is either broken or dead. Lamp replacement procedure would be mentioned in user manual or let me know to provide you more info. Thanks.
