Hi there Make sure the new batteries are fully charged before used. After that remove the memory card & try to power on. If its not ON then i suggest you remove the battery & check the that place for any sulfur layer( green colored ) are there or not. Just clean that place & put the camera in sun light for 10 minutes. Because some time moisture make short the circuit board & that's why camera would not turn on. If its a moisture problem then after those operation it will start working. But if your camera power supply converter are damaged then its not possible to repair at home. So go for all these basic treatment & after that if you not success then i suggest you please visit Kodak service center for replacement or repair. Thanks.

If you have an EasyShare printer dock or AC adapter, try those. If not, you will have to have it repaired, unless your battery is dead or the connections in the battery bay have a foreign object or corrosion blocking the connection.

I had the same problem--One day it worked fine-- the next day it booted up and cut of. I recharged batters. Then I noticed the memory card would not upload to my PC. WELL, I tried a New Memory card and it (the) Camera worked fine.. So just change the card and give it a try..Good Luck.

I had this problem too, then realised I was misreading the battery polarity sign. Try the batteries the other way round! Sounds stupid, but maybe I am too.

The fall would have damaged the internal parts of the camera and so the non functioning of the camera can be a fault in the shutter, zoom or auto focus sections and may be due to the failure of the Main control system or the drive. A simple was is to reset and we can try by removing the battery and card for some time. Now replace only the battery and while switching power ON, tap the lens hood on the palm of your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being struck. Thank You for using Fixya
Use some air to blow between the lens to dislodge any sand particles struck inside. Unless you are familiar with handling of small devices must the camera be opened. If so check the voltage on the motor drive, check the auto focus and Zoom drives, it must be free with manual movement. If jammed the motor can be removed and released. If none of these works then you can think of taking consensus with the service centre.
Get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the authorised service as you do not have to run around for spares.

I have checked evrything and fully charged the batteries and still the camera is not switching ON. I think it's the power supply converter. Just out of interest, what can cause the power supply to get damaged on a camera that is just packed away?
