Make sure the mic level is correct. Many of these units require line-level inputs which is much higher voltage than a mic puts out. You MAY need an impedance matching transformer for your mic.

How do i get reverb to vocals? phonic powerpod 1860 delux

Use use an echo or reverb chamber for live recording through a desk.

A recorded vocal can be processed using a digital recording program like Audacity which is free. In it you will find a re-verb plug in which will allow you to add this effect.

I want to record along with backing tracks on computer using audacity

Well depends a bit what soundcard you've got. If it is a good one and has an input channel you can connect your instrument with that.
in the preferences of Audacity you can select where you're recording from. So you have to select your soundcard there. It will also record the backingtrack as well if the same souncard is used. I use Reaper a DAW that is shareware and drag the backingtrack to a track and play along with it.. Advantage of reaper is that you can also use vst plugins. Hope you succeed ;-)

While using korg m50 editor using usb data cable there is no sound from my lap.the sound is only from my head phone connected to my keyboard directly?

Are you connecting to the laptop and using it as a midi controller? You can record midi notes from the keyboard and send them to your laptop via USB using any midi sequencer program (reason, logic, etc). Create a midi track, select the input of that track as your keyboard, then hit record to play some midi notes. To hear what you record, you have to set the output of the midi track to whatever midi sounds or instrunents you have installed on your laptop.

If you are trying to record the actual audio sound the keyboard makes, use an audio program such as cubase, sonar, audacity, pro-tools, and either mic the keyboard, or connect one of the other audio outputs (1/4" TRS) to an audio input on your DAW, and record an audio track that way (as opposed to a midi track).

I have a behringer xenyx 1204usb mixer with a mxl 990 mic and i have problems with static. thats all i have hooked to the mixer so i dont think its a conflict. i have tried recording in audition, pro...

Yep ! First thing is to eliminate any processing resource "hogs" that **** respources and can cause buffer overruns. Eliminate Antivirus, antispyware, and network communication and wireless network programs running in the background while recording.
Next make sure that ALL equipment is powered from the same receptacle or power source. In your case that should be the mixer and the PC.
Next remember that the condenser mic picks up everything... I have 5 of those mics and seemingly noise free environments turn out to have little things that generate fast rising pulses that you don't notice till they are recorded.
Lastly, the air here is very dry and plain old static electricity is rampart... Lady shuffling her feet was sending pulses through the mic cable at our church. They are NOT audible until they get into the sound system as clicks.
I have found that trying to record directely to a USB stick often has ooverruns and clicks... also burning a CD from stick to the CD results in noise due to buffer underuns. Burn from Hard drive to CD and make sure all the other hog programs are shut off.

I'M TRYING TO USE ALPHA STUDIO WITH AUDACITY BUT CAN'T GET IT EVEN STARTED- IS IT POSSIBLE ??

yes, it is possible. the first thing u shoul do is go to edit/preferences within audacity and make sure the alpha is selected as the recording source. if that isnt the problem, then contact lexicon directly. if they arent helping you very well, ask if "jamie cohen" is still supervising- he is the best with computer issues, if he still is a tech support supervisor there.

Please teach me how to do a recording of bits with the keyboard PSR S710, it uses a USB drive, but i don't know how to use it

You need to have a basic recording program installed on your computer. If you use Apple you can use garageband. If you use Windows you can install audacity http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/
You will have to install the drivers of our yamaha keyboard than connect it with the usb cable to your computer and select the PSR S710 as an input in your recording program.

C.d burner has stopped working on my BR1180

As long as it indicates program content in the memory and can play the audio through an am p or headphones you should still be able to record the content onto your computer and burn it from there if your computer has a burner. I use Audacity which is a good freeware program.

What do I need to burn a cd from my pc with the br 1180

This Is real simple grab a cable that goes from rca jacks to a headphone jack then plug the rca jacks into the br-1180's audio out jack and then plug the other end into your computers mic port.
Download Audacity From www.Audacity.com and then use it to capture you audio and then you can burn that when complete.
Its real simple I do it all the time even though I have the br-1180cd the cd burner burns real quiet so I don't use it. The cable can be bought at radio shack, best buy, wal-mart and I have even seen them at 99 cent only stores.
If you have more question let me know This Is my main unit so I know a lot about it.
Sincerely,
Michael Scott
