The F3 means there is something wrong in the sensor circuit, sensor/wiring/clock. F3 Problem: Shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD): Solution: Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

Hi, F2 error code on the Amana Oven means "Oven too hot" You have to replace Oven temperature sensor to fix it.
F3 error code means "Open or shorted oven temperature sensor". Yo also have to replace Oven temperature sensor to fix it.

Summarily, both code has to do with the temperature sensor which you need to replace...

It will help to know what f2 & f3 stand for. These are fault codes and there usually is a tech sheet taped to the back of the oven, or inside the control compartment of the oven. If you open thecontrol area, you can look at the sheet and know what failed by the list of fault codes. Unfortunetly, it could be the control board again (these are very fickle electronics), or it could be the oven lock mechanism,or the overheat sensor that keeps telling the fan and other components to stay in their operating mode. it is like the domino effect: one item goes flukey and the rest fall prey to the results. This F3 that keeps flashing on your oven is caused by a shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD). To fix this problem check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central. I replaced my GE oven sensor after getting F5 alarms .it worked fine for a few weeks now I get random F2, F3, F5alarms.

F1 Power to element relay energized during time of day display.
1. Wiring harness shorted.
2. Or change power relay board (PRB).

Note: for double ovens, change second oven board.

F-2 error for jenn-air means the oven is to hot, it could be the oven temperature sensor is faulty, or the relay board.
