Motor was seized. Probably from lack of use combined with the moisture involved with such a device. I loosened the motor with a pliers, gave it a small shot of wd-40, and off we go. Works fine.

Numatic George Wet/dry vacuum won't spray - Only a very very very faint buzzing sound can be heard putting my ear right next to the machine.

There are a few potential causes for why your Numatic George wet/dry vacuum is not spraying and only producing a faint buzzing sound. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the water level: Make sure that the water level in the tank is sufficient and not too low. If the water level is too low, it can cause the spray function to malfunction.
  2. Check the water supply hose: Make sure that the water supply hose is properly connected and not kinked or damaged.
  3. Check the spray nozzle: Make sure that the spray nozzle is not clogged and is able to rotate freely. If the nozzle is clogged, it can prevent the spray function from working properly.
  4. Check the motor: If the motor is not functioning properly, it can cause the spray function to malfunction. To check the motor, you can try running the vacuum without the hose or attachments to see if it is functioning properly. If the motor is not functioning properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to take the vacuum to a professional for repair.

Steam cleaner doesnt spray water anymore

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

Check to ensure there is a full tank of Bissell Hard Floor Solutions and water. - Make sure the clean water tank is inserted properly by removing the tank and re-inserting it. Ensure the gasket is attached to the water tank and did not fall into the machine. Reattach this gasket if necessary. - Check the valve on the bottom of the clean water tank. The water should come out of the X-valve when pressed. If the valve is blocked, soak the cap and insert in hot tap water until the blockage clears. Check the handle to ensure it is installed properly. Remove the handle and re-attach, making sure the handle is pushed down all the way. If you need to re-install the handle, remove the solution tank and lift the tab as you lift the handle. Check to ensure the solution tube is inserted properly into the floor nozzle. Clean the spray tips by bending a paper clip and inserting this into the spray tips to clean. If you continue to experience no spray, you may need to call Bissel at 1-800-237-7691 for further assistance.

Bissell will spray water when set to water rinse, but as soon as it is set to light, normal, or heavy cleaning, there is no spray. I have tried priming but to no avail. I put plain water in the solution...

Please check the following with liquid in both tanks.

- Check to see if the machine will spray through the hose with the setting on tools. If it does, the pump is fine. Continue troubleshooting.

- Check for debris on spray tips. Clean them with a soft brush (on old tooth brush works well). The spray tips may be lifted out for easier access.

- Ensure the tank lid is properly attached to the bottom of the tank. To attach this properly, remove the Water Tank from the machine. Hook the front window onto the lip of the bottom container and then allow the window with lid to cover the complete tank. Secure the latch on the back of the bottom tank to the back of the tank lid. THE TANK LID CANNOT BE ATTACHED PROPERLY IF THE BOTTOM TANK IS ALREADY INSTALLED IN THE MACHINE.
- Check the bottom of the Water Tank and the Formula Tank to make sure each has a red auto-load gasket attached. Make sure the Water Tank and the Formula Tank are seated properly. Depress the x on this gasket to ensure this depresses and release back out. Liquid from the tank should dispense.

- Remove the handle completely and re-attach. Once the handle is re-attached, re-attempt to spray.

If the machine continues to not spray, check the following:

REMOVE THE COLLECTION TANK:
• Make sure the unit is set to water rinse
• Remove the smart mix bottle and fill it with water only
• Place the smart mix bottle into the collection tank reservoir
• Run the unit and try to spray. If the machine sprays, you will be able to see the water level decreasing in the smart mix bottle and you will need to replace the bottom tank. It is possibly warped.

If these suggestions do not resolve your issue, contact BISSELL Consumer Services.

Biseell little green machine wont squirt water out

The Pumps on these go bad after a couple of months. They rust and will sometimes spray and other times not then eventually not work at all. If your a handy man pull the top off it and remove the pump motor and replace it yourself. The part number is 603-5029 you can put this number in google shipping and get it to your door for about $15 and replace it yourself or have a friend do it. Ebay has tons of them once again just put in the part number and a list of them will come up.
Thanks and have a good one

I think the pump needs to be replaced in my Bissell little green machine. Some water/solution is being pushed through but not enough to spray only drip, if I hold the machine up high while using it (ie on...

I got my Little Green ProHeat when the product was first unveiled several years ago. Shortly thereafter, the nozzle itself developed a clog in the spray jet. Remove the nozzle from the end of the hose, and with the machine running pull the trigger. If a great amount of solution comes out of the supply hole, then your nozzle is clogged. You can try clearing it with a very thin pin and then rinsing it out.

In about 6 months, my pump would no longer spray solution at all but I could hear the tiny pump still running inside the machine when I would pull the trigger. Remove the tanks, unplug the unit, and look carefully and you will see the few screws holding the unit together. Pull it apart carefully and don't use much force as some of it snaps together and you don't want to break those tabs. Once open, you can find the solution pump, a little fella. The drive shaft on the motor that spins the pump had rusted away completely! Design flaw. In lieu of getting it repaired, I simply started using a spray bottle for my solution application. Several years later and I'm ready to take the time to replace the pump - a very simple process. From the research I've done, the part number for the solution pump is:
Manufacturer's Part Number: 6035029
If you google search "Bissell 6035029 VacPartsWarehouse" without the quotes, you should find your part there for around $9.

Try this direct link to VacPartsWarehouse's website:
VacPartsWarehouse Bissell 1425-2 Little Green ProHeat
Click item #9. It's very simple to install. If you can wield a philips screwdriver, and pay attention to how you've disassembled the unit and then just reverse the steps, you can fix this yourself on the cheap.

Good luck! :)

My Bissell Little Green won't spray the solution. The suction seems to be working fine and the lines are all connected as they should be. What's up and how can I fix it?

I also had the same problem as you.
Try suctioning up a full tank of hot tap water into the collection tank to soften/release a possible kink in the tubing inside of the vacuum hose that carries solution out to the spray tip.
I did this a couple of times and it worked. This info I found on the Bissell website.
Good Luck!

Will not spray

I have the same problem. I took it apart and found that the water pump had leaked and burned out the water pump motor. It's a $20 part.
