Let it run through its cycle. At the end take 1/4 of the clothing out put it aside in a hamper. re run load with some of the clothes taken out. Then washer the other clothes afterwards.

See if manually opening the door will reset everything. Unplug the washer and remove the lower front panel like you're going to clean out the drain catch. Once you remove this panel you can reach up behind the upper front panel and pull down on the small plastic pull tab attached to the bottom of the door lock assembly. This will manually unlock the door so you can open the door.
Now once you have the door open, plug the washer back in and see if you can start another cycle.
Maytag Neptune Front-Load Washers are equipped with emergency access cord that can be used to unlock the door when the door lock mechanism fails to unlock it after a wash load is done. The emergency access cord is located under the top cover and can be accessed through the dispenser bezel. Make sure that power to the machine is disconnected prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Remove the four screws securing the dispenser bezel to the top cover then lift the bezel off to access the emergency access cord. Carefully pull the emergency access cord steadily then open the washer door.
The pulling of the emergency access cord overrides the wax motor and the sliding gear is pulled from right to left away from engagement with the rotating gear. It allows the rotating gear to release the wire loop of the door.
The failure of the door lock mechanism to unlock the door is due to a failed wax motor in the extended position. This requires the wax motor to be replaced. Access to the door lock mechanism for the wax motor replacement requires the removal of the front panel and lifting the top cover. On some Kenmore front load models, if the black gasket around the door opening is unseated (for example, because you drag some heavy wet laundry over it) the door will not engage the lock and stay closed. This is a feature to prevent the washer from leaking when the gasket is not sealed. To fix it, simply reseat the gasket and the door will close and lock.
did you unplug it,leave it unplugged for 5 minutes and plug it back in,if it's to hard to get to plug flip the breaker and leave the power off for 5 minutes or longer when you power it up again the door should unlock.here's a link to check hope it helps

For some reason, your door lock isn't unlocking properly. You can manually override it, but this won't fix the root problem. Here's how...
1. Unplug the machine 2. Remove the 3 screws from the back edge of the top and pull it off rearward 3. Using a flashlight, look down along the RH inside of the machine (facing the machine). About half way down, you'll see the door lock mechanism which has a manual pull that will unlock it. Pull up on this to unlock the door. 4. You could take your chances and put the machine back together, plug it in and see if the lock acts up again. If it does, you'll have to replace the door lock, if not- it's your lucky day.
