You need to use a car charger made for the Magellan. I had the same issue with a universal charger. One made for the Magellan fixed the problem. Now it even shuts down 15 seconds AFTER the power source is removed (i.e. turning ignition off).

What's the cause of my car running poorly and shutting down?

There are a LOT of things that can cause your car to run poor and shut down but it sounds like you think the coolant system is the problem. If that was the case, your car would overheat.
Usually the first things to suspect are poor gas (like water in your gas), loose fitting spark plug wires, old spark plugs. If spark plugs and spark plug wires are good, you might suspect a fuel filter or even a fuel pump.

My E5430 laptop will not reboot - tries to and then shuts down

Can you boot into diagnostics without it shutting down? Try it while plugged in and the battery removed.

2006 Ford F-250 6.0 Engine just shuts down at an idel or going down the road. it has a bad glow plug and shows a code for it . I just replaced the cam posithion sensor. Does the engine keep shuttting

I have had the same problem with my Ford mustang the only thing is that it only shuts down in high idle, after the engine temperature warms up there is no shut down. It could have something to do with the transmission or the temperature sensor the best thing to do is get a full diagnostic and not do it your self.

Belkin n1 vision is shutting down

Is the Belkin plugged into a power strip or UPS? Try another AC outlet. Has the AC jack, plug in the rear or the Belkin been damaged due to pulling on the AC cord, causing a lose connection? Is your computer shut down at night? No Hibernate, No Sleep? Are their setting for the Belkin to shut down/timeout after a certain idle time? Here's a user manual: http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/dl/f5d8632-4_usermanual.pdf

Remove the power plug. Hold the RED X button for few seconds.

"Remove the power plug. Hold the RED X button for few seconds" by doing this procedure, unit will shut down but if you got a bad external battery it will shut down right after you unplug the power or will not shut down completely. If you still need help call (775)358-2922 ask for Randy. Thanks

My battery light notifies my the battery is low so I plug in to the AC power and it still shuts off.

How long between plugging in and shut down? Many times what happens is it has already initiated the shut down sequence before you plug it in.

To prevent this, keep an eye on the power meter (put it in the systray if not already there) and proactively plug in the AC before it warns you. e.g. if it warns you at 10% when you see it reach 15% plug it in.

Satellite screen is blank & won't shut down

Don't know why the screen is blank. Toggle the F9 key to make sure you didn't accidentally toogle off the screen.

As far as turning off the power and shutting down the computer, the old stand-by is to take out the battery and then pull the plug. The computer will power down. Replace the battery, replace the plug and then push the start button. You may have to start it up in SAFE mode since the shut down process was not the "normal' process the computer expects to follow.
