Your A345 isn't compatible with the 2gb cards, only up to a 1gb xD. Here is a link to Fuji Canada's compatibility chart: http://www.fujifilm.ca/x7970.xml
The camera may not be able to read the 2gb card. If the 2gb card is SDHC and the old card is not that is the problem. Many older cameras cannot take the newer SDHC cards. Find another 1gb that is not SDHC.
Bad news. The A345 will only accept up to a 1gb xd card. Here's a link to Fuji's camera/card compatibility chart. http://www.fujifilm.ca/x7970.xml Just highlight the address and paste it into your address bar.
You may need to call Fuji and see if the 2gb xD card is compatible to your camera model. It's possible that Fuji can provide you with steps to make the card compatible to that camera. Fuji telephone number is 800-800-3854 option 1
