GE oven model JS968SF4SS model gives 'F2' error. Possible causes, fixes?
F-2 usually oven sensor shorted or bad. Replace oven sensor an you should be good to go. Hope this helps.
F2 means: Oven over temp - exceeded
590F with door in unlocked position or 990F with door locked
If
the critical temperature condition occurred, and the oven effectively
overheated, then look for contact in relay connector, or for a faulty
relay. In that case the burners will stay on for a long time. Also
ensure that the temperature probe is not shorted.
If there is no high temperature condition, then replace the temperature probe.
A faulty temperature sensor is the most common cause for this problem.
Regards.
