Ur LCD inverter board is dead.Replaced this LCD inverter board u will get ur picture back. This a simple repair take ur tv aparts, take out the LCD inverter board,it a long shape of a board.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter board for the replament.U will get ur picture back.Ok,good luck, labors about an hour work.
I very highly doubt that is merely a power supply problem,I would suspect that it is a small signal board (aka scaler board) or at the very least, have the inverter boards checked
Use a flashlight to shine light near the screen in a 45 degrees angle when the TV is ON, press menu to see if you get fainted dark video in the background. fainted video indicates that the backlight is defective.
This type of failure could be due to a lower backlight inverter voltage as well.

Well I am not sure about that model but I had one do that and what I had to do was unplug and replug the LVDS which is the cord connecting the Main board to the screen. I am not sure exactly where it is located on that model but if you take off the back and locate the board that looks to be the "main" board. Then you have to locate the cord that connects to the screen, in mine it is a bunch of wires in a black covering, and unplug and replug it. I had to do this about 10 times to get the picture unfortionantly I already bought a new one but it now works.
probably either the tv or the DVD are in the PAL system check if they are, if yes then change to NTSC.if that does not work then you check your connections.if not you will have to call in a tech to look at your set.good luck.
