If connected via component jacks from a box unplug the box and set and wait---then plug both back and let them reboot--likely in this situation it is coming from the box
Hi :There are two possible reasons why this is happening, one is the T-Con board has failed. And the other is the main board digital circuits is faulty. when changing resolutions the scaleing IC is probably bad, I suggest you go with the cheaper of the two parts and start with the T-Con board first, if this does'nt repair the problem then it you main board that is faulty.

JVC will only issue a recall if 1500+ complaints on a model.
Capacitors don't show resistance unless you use an ESR meter. If you could give me more voltages coming out of the power supply then I can help. If you want to change a board then try "Encompassparts.com"
LCD sets sometimes will not power up until the backlight boards power up. the backlight boards have SMT fuses that open. and driver FETs (commonly also SMT) that short.
check the backlight circuits first.
it needs service, that means using tools and meters and spare parts to find cause.

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge)
