Acer 3000 not loading

I have a major problem, I have an acer 3000 that some how got messed up and will not boot to anything. It only says no operating system found. IT will not even boot from a windows xp cd. Now I also have an aspire 3610 and I put the hard drive from the 3610 into the 3000 and all it does is go to the boot manager screen and then restarts. What can I do to fix the 3000?

    Yeah but the cd wont boot. Does anyone know the driver that the har drive in the aspire 3000 (toshiba mk6034gax) use?

    It goes to the black screenwhere its checking the mac address and then says no operating system found. I cant even get to safe mode, I really need to format hard drive and install xp again, how can I fix it so I can

    Ok I think that I have to give up on te original harddrive in the 3000 and I have to get the hardrive from the acer 3610 to work in it. Now I know theharddrive from th 3610 is working when I have it i the acer 3610, however when I put it in the acer 3000 it says no operating system found why?

    Ok I put the hard drive from the acer 3610 into the acer 3000, load past the boot manager screen and then the black screen flashes a few times and then the sytem restarts why?

    acer aspire 7720-6569 will not load windows and screen is black. This happened very suddenly. Also the fan is still blowing please HELP

    I have the same problem with two Acer Aspires 3000, but it is probably not BIOS relate, because when I run a memorytest, I get about 2.3 million errors.

firts put the original harddrives back in place :)
then you need to enter the 3000's bios If I remember right
thats done by pressing f2 or del in a acer. it should tell you what button is correct on the bootup screen.

Then you need to change the boot order to haveing the dvd/cd drive before the harddrive, since right now its booting strate from the harddrive.

Then you should be able to restore the operateing system with the disks that came with the laptop and or from a normal xp or vista cd/dvd.

    can you go to the bios and set it to boot from the cd? have you tryed that?



    thats the only thing you can do or then your dvd drive is broken.

    now its trying to boot from network. You need to set the bootorder so it boots from the cd.



    Btw try pressing f12 on before the black screen comes up it should open up the bootmenu and you should be able to select the dvd drive from it!.

    Do you know how to use BIOS? see if your bios detects the drives and set the bios to boot from CD!



    If you are unable to do that take it to a repair shop.

well did you reinstall the operating system on the hard drive, after 'wiping' out the hard disk? That would explain why it can't find anything

To start the system recovery:
  1. Restart the netbook.
  2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the Alt and F10 keys repeatedly.
  3. If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key.
  4. After the system recovery program has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
  5. Select ' completely restore to factory defaults '

Hi, you can perform a system repair, by inserting your operating CD then booting and selecting this option.
Or you can start up in safe mode, by pressing the ESC key during bootup and selecting start in safe mode, from here you can roll back your system to a time before the problem started.

I have an ACER 3000, and when I turn it on I get a message that the operating system is not found. What do I do?
Sounds like your BOOT INI or MBR is corrupt. If your on Vista put in your disc and boot from this then when it loads go to repair my computer and click on "start up repair" this will hopefully sort out you MBR and get you going again if not please let me know and we can try somethig else

Acer 3000-replaced hdd but it will not load windows xp. when it asks me to press any key to boot from cd it fails to boot, just returns to Acer start up screen
ok after you start it up hold F8 and the boot menu should come up if you pick the dvd drive and it still goes to the acer screen you dont have a bootable copy of XP try making a bootable pen drive (google it it is pretty easy) and after you boot to the pen drive just switch to the dvd drive and install win xp

you did not say if it is PS 2 or USB mouse?
if PS2 go to MY COMPUTER, PROPERTIES,HARDWARE< DEVICE MGR, scroll down to MOUSE, then PROPERTIES, UNCHECK the box FAST INITIALIZATION
REBOOT. PS 2 mouse should work.
if USB mouse, scroll down to USB ports to see if there are any YELLOW check boxes under USB
this means no device is loaded and USB mouse (or anything else you insert) will not work.
click uninstall, SCAN, and let it reinstall.
try another mouse... hope you get cheese!

Acer 7720 will not boot
Do you want to try and see if a 'Linux LiveCD' boots? This is the way I test if the computer works. You burn this CD to a disk, and then boot off of it when you're computer starts. I will not modify anything on your computer as long as you go to 'Try Ubuntu with out installing'

Don't worry, I'm not trying to get you to install anything, just see if it boots into the 'live environment' (means you are running it off of the cd) If this works, that means that it is only your windows installation is messed up, and a reinstallation of windows should work fine with a Windows install CD NOT the recovery cd.

Acer aspire 3000
try booting the hard drive, and pressing F8 and booting to last known good configuration. If that doesnt work gheck out SUPER GRUB, it can fix your MBR if needed.
