Same happened with me, after mac connection

ok, plug it into the pc and run iriver plus 3, if you dont have it, you can download it from the iriver website.
then you connect the iriver.
then open tools>Portable Device>Disk Initialization..
this should format your iriver and give it default settings.

hope this helps you!

Not getting software to connect iriver mp3 player to connect with pc

well...
the simplest player is windows media player 11 cos it sorts out all your songs into folders...
if your wanting to see the actual folders use iriver plus 3, it comes in the pack with the iriver. however the program is slow and doesnt work as effectively as wmp11.

Folders inside my IRIVER X20 no longer recognised!! HELP PLEASE!!!

Try making a new folder, under the same name as the ones lost, or missing. Since the X20 is flash memory based, you may have had some of your data go randomly corrupt. You MAY have to start things over. Sorry! Good Luck!

Iriver x20

try and view hidden files...
it depends wat the folder is...
it might be a system folder, in which case you'd be better to just ignore it

If running Windows XP, install Media Player 10 and it will recognize it.

How to back up music library

Plug in your Mp3 player
Double-click My Computer
Double click the icon corresponding to your iRiver
Double click the music folder
Right click the desktop, select "new," and select "folder" - create a folder named "Temporary iRiver Backup" (or whatever name you want to give to the folder)
Start dragging files from "My Computer" window to "temporary IRiver backup" window

There are other ways, but this is one good way.
