My MuVo was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo V200 Firmware 1.13.03.

If you can't get your computer to even recognize the player anymore, you could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250.

Other downloads for the Creative MuVo V200 are located here.

Try installing the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250 first. Hopefully by updating that driver, your pc will begin to detect the MuVo unit again.

Then you will be able to install the latest firmware on the MuVo unit.

Really i don't know what the problem is. the creative doesn't charge and when it charges don't do anything

the player seems to need longer charging:
1. while player switched OFF: let it load on ac-adapter or USB-connection**** for about 1 hour, until the screen lights up.
2. still while player switched OFF: let it load another 2 to 3 hours
to get it fully charged.

**** notice: when using USB for charging:
1. Install the application software (from CD or Creative-download)
2. Preferred is a USB-connection at the backside of the computer
3. When more USB-connections are used, have the others disconnected: trying not to overload the USB-port power-consumption.

My player charges but isn't being detected in order to add music

You don't have enough room on your drive to do this. I had the same problem. I took all my router ports off and connected just my creative vision player only and it worked. Computer system was over loaded.

Creative zen vision m is not detected.

You Could Try This..

I'm Using Windows XP (SP2)

I Had This Problem with my Zen & found that if I Uninstalled the USB in Device Manager (Portable Devices) and rebooted the computer and let Windows redetect and install them.

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PLAYER PLUGGED INTO THE PC WHEN YOU DO WHAT'S BELOW, AS YOU NEED IT TO APPEAR IN PORTABLE DEVICES

To Get To Device Manager Quickly - Highlight My Computer On Desktop/Right Mouse & Choose Properties/Choose Hardware At Top/Then Select Device Manager/Then Portable Devices/Highlight Your Player & Right Mouse Then Choose Uninstall/Exit Device Manager/Disconnect Your Player/Them Restart Computer..../When The Computers Ready Try Connecting Your Player Again It Should Work?

Zen vision m not recognized

Same problem. Solved by downgrading Windows Media Player to v.10. Do it through Control Panel and click Remove WMP11 and WMP11 runtime. Restart, connect your player and if not recognized do go to Control Panel=>System=>Hardware tab=>Devices. Find Portable Devices drivers in the menu and click Uninstall MTP device. If still not detected, go to Control Panel=>Detect New Hardware and run that. The player should connect automatically. WMP 11 has a glitch that disallows 3rd party MTP players. Intentional or purposeful? Ask B. Gates.

Firmware problem

See the solution for PC not recognizing your player. You should downgrade to WMP10 by uninstalling WMP11 and WMP11 runtime. Uninstall portable device drivers from System menu and restart the computer. Replug the USB and the player should now be recognized.

It could be anything. Check the firmware on the device? Is it a 1.xx.xx or a 2.xx.xx? What version of Windows do you use? Do you have Windows Service Pack 2? Etc? It really could be anything.
