I got a coby key chain photo viewer and when loading software I keep getting error message saying "can't find any photoviewer, or another proogram owns it.the program will exit" I am using windows vista,.
Ya not comp with vista photo viewer is in xp ed not vista have u tryed the website see if they offer u a driver for vista yet dont use cd is your best bet to sp1 for vista come sout in june then most will work

The error you describe, is also mentioned in the Setup Guide for the DP151.
When you connect the Key Chain to the USB port of your computer, on the Key Chain will prompt the message to select: USB charge or USB update.
For proper function of the Chain Key:
0) Before connecting the Chain Key, have the Photo Viewer software installed:
You need adminstrator rights to perform installation of programs.
Install the photo viewer from the CD or download this program
from the Coby support site:

> enter DP151 in the Product Search bar
now all support for the Chain Key will show
> run the DP151_PhotoViewer zip file directly or save the zip file onto your computer, unzip and run the setup.exe file later
1) Connect the Chain Key and Select USB update on the Chain Key.
Again, to be able to update, you need adminstrator rights.
The message "No Photo Viewer Found, program termined" will happen unless you have the keychain plugged into the USB port in syncronization mode not charging mode. It's just saying it can't find a Photo Viewer plugged in to sync with. That should solve your problems. You can't update you image library unless it is plugged in
Are you sure the Dolphin Digital Photo Frame is compatible with Windows Vista? When I searched, all I saw that was supported was XP and 2000. Once drivers are installed and they do not work, it's best to uninstall the driver (in the control panel in the system hardware configurations). Delete the driver and restart the computer with the picture fram plugged into the USB. You should be asked if you want to install the drivers. You then pick the custom location for drivers and browse to your drive with CD. You should be able to find the drivers somewhere within the disk (usually contained in it respective OS Folder e.g. WINXP). Load that particular driver.
I solved this problem through persistence - clicking on everything I could find, I found out that I needed to clic on "Users" and then my name and then i could find the photo files. It would have been helpful if this information had been included in the digital key chain disc instructions.
Start from scratch, uninstall everything and pretend your installing for first time:
1. have keychian unconnected from usb 2. install software 3. DONT RUN SOFTWARE YET 4. connect keychain to usb 5. on keychain select: USB update 6. Run software 7. well-ah, intelligence > poorly organized device - enjoy everyone
You need to make sure the usb cable is in all the way to the viewer. You have to push it hard. No silver showing. Always need the viewer plugged in first before starting the viewer program. After that it is pretty simple.

Find your Photo Key Chain version and Download the Driver CD files along with all the latest

The version is listed on the back of the Photo Key Chain as 151SX, DPKEY or 151MP.
To Download & Install The Photo Viewer Software From Our
Web Site:
a) Create a folder on your desktop before downloading the file from our website. To create
a folder on your desktop, go to your desktop and RIGHT click on your mouse. A set of
menus will appear. Select “New” and then “Folder” (you will notice a new folder will
appear on your desktop), give it a name, example DP151.
b) Click on the below link and select “Download”.

c) Click on your Photo Key Chain Version to start the Download. The version is listed on the
back of the Photo Key Chain (151SX, DPKEY or 151MP.
d) After clicking on your version, you will prompt with a pop-up screen “Do you want to save
or open the file”. Select Save.
e) Another screen will prompt you to save the file on your computer. Save the file on your
“Desktop”, in the “DP151” folder and select “Save”.
f) Once the download is completed, go to your desktop. Double-click on the DP151 folder.
g) To install the Photo Viewer software, Double-click on the Setup.exe file. Click NEXT on
all prompts.
h) After the installation. The Photo Viewer Software icon will appear on your desktop.
i) Done! ……Continue with “STEP- 2”
STEP-2 CONNECT the Key Chain to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Upon
connecting the Key Chain to your computer, the Key Chain will prompt you to set the
device to “USB Charge or USB Update”. Select USB Update by pressing the Right
button and then the Middle button.
STEP-3 RUN the Photo Viewer Software to transfer photos to the Key Chain. Double-click on
the Photo Viewer icon located on your desktop. Once the Photo Viewer opens, it will
give you a message indicating “Upload Completed”. Click OK. (This message
indicated that the Photo Viewer Software has made connection with the Key Chain). If
you have received the “Upload Completed” Message, Skip STEP-4 and continue with
STEP-5
STEP-4 If you have NOT received the “Upload Completed” message, then you are
encountering the below error message:
Can’t Find any Photo Viewer, or
another program owns it. The
program will exit!
*Set the Photo Key Chain to USB update. SEE “STEP- 2”.
*Make sure the USB Cable is connected properly, you should hear a “clicking”
sound when the USB Cable is connected properly in the USB Port.
*The Key Chain should also appear under “MY COMPUTER” as a removable
disk. If not, switch the USB Port or replace the USB Cable.
STEP-5 LOCATE the images on your computer (See Diagram)
STEP-6 HIGHLIGHT the images files that will be transferred to the Key Chain (See
Diagram)
STEP-7 SEND the highlighted images to the Device Panel (See Diagram)
STEP-8 TRANSFER the images from the Collection panel to the Key Chain (See Diagram)
Disconnect the Key Chain from your computer. Done!
We had the same problem and you won't believe how simple the actual fix was!!! When you plug the USB plug into the keychain device or whatever device you are using (in our case it was a keychain), make absolutely certain that the plug is pushed in all the way (it is tough to push in) until it actually clicks and all you see is the black part of the USB plug. Then try your software. It should work!!!
