Unable to connect to the program for digital photo keychain
I got a keychain for Christmas from Walgreen's and I must have accidently thrown away instructions if there were any. I plug it up to the computer with the provided USB cable and nothing registers on the computer that there is something connected. How do I download pics?
Digital Photo Keychain 8 mb
Make sure the keychain is turned on. If it still doesn't work, leave it plugged in and restart. Your computer will tell you if it has been recognized by a little pop up... or mine does anyway. (win xp) On a Mac, it should just pop up on the desktop.
Check under Start > My Computer
You should see the little drive here if it is connected right.
These are the steps I would take. If it doesn't work, I'm not sure what's going on. You can check out my other post
here and read the manual on adding the photo's manually. (You have to make sure the photographs are small since the keychain only holds 8mb. Most photographs directly from a camera are 2mb a piece. Make them smaller with an image program)
How to add more photos
How large are your photographs? It may hold 60 smaller photographs, not large ones. If they are big, make them a smaller size with any imaging program and reload them.
Did that work?
Can not download pictures to photo keychain
Hum, I'm not familar with this product, but It should recognize on your computer as a little hard drive. Try looking under the start menu, at "my computer" under hard disk drives. If you find it, double click on it and when it opens a new window, you should be able to drag and drop photographs there. If there are already folders on the drive, don't delete them, you may have to load the images under a specific folder to show on the keychain.
Did your key chain come with a little program that adds the images for you?
Try restarting your computer with it plugged in. Also, when you disconnect it from your computer, make sure to "eject" the hard drive by clicking on the little green arrow near your computer clock at the bottom right (win xp). Otherwise, it could mess up your keychain and the computer wont recognize it. Same goes with anything you unplug from your computer. No worries, it should return to normal even if you did just unplug it. Don't take that chance though. Just restart it while it's plugged in, then "eject" the drive. Once it tells you that everything is ok to disconnect the drive, pull it out and replug it back in. Hopefully it should recognize then.
