NO GPS RECEPTION

Make sure you are not under any structure such as a car port that will block the signal. The unit must be able to see the sky to receive signals

No gps signal

If the unit hasn't been used ofr a while it sometimes looses information it needs to figure out the sattelites. So what you need to do is charge it up or have it on the carger and perform a hard reset. The unit will then download new information and be able to figure out where it is and then how to get 'there'. This can take up to an hour but usually about 5-10 minutes if it has a good view of the sky so it can see the sattelites.

This is a common thing with all gps recievers.

My Tom Tom cannot find a GPS signal or sattelite signal. It has been working fine but is no longer able to find a signal or where i am. i have turned it on and off and can navigate through all the pages...

When was the last time you updated the QuickFix of your TomTom? It helps your GPS to find the satellites.

Please, do the following:

1) Install "TomTom Home" software in your computer from www.tomtom.com
2) Start TomTom Home in your computer
3) Plug in the GPS dock to your computer's USB port and place the GPS on the dock. The green light on the bottom right of the GPS should turn ON to indicate that the GPS is getting power from the dock and charging
4) Start your GPS while being in the dock. If the GPS asks "do you want to connect to computer" answer "YES"
5) The TomTom Home software will detect the GPS and check if there are any updates for it. Then you'll be offered updates to install. Some are free, some are not. You choose the ones you want to install.
Please, report back if you need further assistance

Unit taking long time to establish satellite connection?

5-7 mins is not unusual in many cases. Battery condition has a lot to do with the time it takes to establish connection. Recharge or replkace batteries with better quality ones and keep well charged up if you use rechargeable ones

Unable to aquire satelites garmin nuvi 255 w. flew from newfoundland to toronto. unable to aquire sattelites at toronto.

When you change geographical locations with any GPS it will take a lot longer for the GPS to acquire the sattelites. Hold the GPS out in an unobstructed area and switch it on. Be patient it will acqurie the signals if it was working before you left home.

Takes a long time getting a signal

Try to delete the sattelite almanc: hold the down key while starting with power and release both buttons at the same time.
The first time the search will last even longer, but afterwards it should be faster.

IQU 3200 no longer finding any sattelites

Try using and external antenna. If that works your internal antenna is kaput.
