Does the whirlpool model LGR7646JQD have a pilot light?

Are you holding the pilot button in long enough. Sometimes it takes a long time for the thermocouple to open. Or you need a new thermocouple, there cheap and easy to replace.

It may may be the safety system for pilot light is maladjusted. There is a sensor which has to be heated by the pilot light or the valve shuts down altogether. If the pilot light stays lit then you check to see if it is positioned to light main burner.

If you have a pilot light, it's in the oven section you take the bottom plate off with the 2 screws holding it on. It's going to be in the back by the burner valves. Most whirlpools don't carry pilot lights.

Your dryer does not have a pilot light. It has in igniter. What kind of problem are you having with the dryer?

Are you sure you have the right model number? This model does not have a pilot light.
