HOW DO I TURN DOWN LOUD SPEAKER VOLUME?

While the intercom or speaker phone is in use, you set the volume. Same as with the ring tone but it has to be used to set volume.

You can adjust your ringer volume by using Feature *80, then using the volume bar to adjust it.

You can't adjust the volume of the recording, but you can adjust the volume of the playback. See page 31 of this manual.

Your Gamer 2 Amp turns on whenever an audio signal is present on the input. The amp can have trouble tuning on if the output of the source (computer sound card, etc.) has been turned down. This can happen easily if you use amplified speakers - if you turn the sound card's volume control down - and then increase the volume at the amplified speaker - the resulting sound is the same; even though the signal has been lowered. The problem is that the output from the sound card isn't sufficient to turn on the Gamer 2 Amp.

Try turning down the external speaker volume, then bump up the sound card volume. You'll probably need to adjust the other inputs individually (Wave, Mic, CD, etc) so that none is too loud or soft. Once the input values have been set, gradually increase the output of the sound card in the control panel application etc. while decreasing the volume on the amplified speaker to maintain a comfortable level. Eventually, you'll find the correct volume level on the sound card output that will wake up the Gamer 2 Amp.

To adjust the speaker volume during playback, slide the speaker volume control towards + (plus - right) to turn up the volume, or towards - (minus - left) to turn the volume down.
The speaker volume control is the same as the ZOOM lever on the top of the camera.

go to settins and tone select a tone and it will show u a volume setting... :)

During phone call, do you see a 'speaker' icon you can press in the screen? It only shows when a call is active. It toggles between handsfree and fry-your-ear mode. If you are listening with the loud speaker and plug in your wired headset it will automatically go off speaker mode (takes a couple of seconds to work). You can put it back into speaker mode while the headset is still attached.

On mine, it remembers the volume I last used with the speaker, so if you had the volume down you can adjust with the up-down buttons on the right hand side of the handset.

If you have an older storm, I think the volume buttons have sometimes been reported to have problems. Whether you can fix that will depend on whether you are under a service contract for handset warranty or maintanance.

Go to your bottom right task tray. Right mouse click on the speaker icon, select open volume mixer. You should be able to adjust to your preference from there. Hope this helps.
