I am using Microsoft XP which driver should i download for 2300c

HP does not have software or driver downloads available for this product in win7.
You can find the supported OSs for Scanjet 2300c on

or if this fails to find the correct drivers

Check the cable and go to HP site and get the latest drivers

The best way to check if the scanner is okay or not is by installing on another computer. First try B&W, then try color. IF it works may be your OS or driver (of the old comp) is corrupted.
