Symbol MC9060-G using version 4.20 Build 14053

Google remcapture and download it, cold boot your scanner and hook to computer, have remcapture capture the baseline, disconnect scanner and make all settings and changes you need, reconnect scanner and capture the diference then hit save then deploy the save file. if you did it right all of the changes will be persistant. The nice thing about this is when it has problems you cane deploy the save file again and you only have to go through this with one scanner all scanners you use that are the same model number can use the same config file.

Hi I'm an expert at the Symbol Product line. The settings in the 9060 are stored in battery backed memory and ....they all lose the settings if you leave the main battery out or discharged too long.

The MC9090 has this problem corrected.

There are a few ways you can solve this problem.
Replace with 9090G .. caution the Windows Mobile OS does not behave the same as the CE OS.

If you are running a custom app in the scanner (i.e. not using terminal emulation) you can have the app rewritten to hold the setting you need. When the gun is booted the settings are rewritten from Flash (not volitile) to the battery backed memory. We've done this a few times in our history and it works well when the gun settings never change.

Solution that works 100% for me, change settings on wlan profile, use regsave to save reg differences, copy regsave.reg and paste in same folder(application/) rename to custom.reg, coldstart and test.
