Flashing Red & Green lights - Samsung ML 2510

Both red and green lights are flashing. Manual says low toner may be the problem...copies not indicative of that. Printer shows as "offline". Disconnected & reconnected power and USB cords. Is Orange button "reset"? If so, it is stuck.

Hi
It maybe one of the fuse gone.

You have to change the fuse:
The fuse is 250mAh and 3/4" inch long (20 mm) round glass with metal ends. The electrical contacts are not in the cartridge but inside the printer: There is a plastic fuse holder on the cartridge, even the starter cartridge. You just simply pop it into the holder. This will stop the flashing red LED and the system tray will say the cartridge is full.

Check the 1500uF @ 10V capacitor on the power board. That had failed in my printer and caused the exact same fault

Thanks for the hint @DavidFowler. I just fixed my Samsung ML-2510.

I just wanted to say thank you for this information. I had problems with this thing for years cutting out, and couldn't figure out why. I opened it up, and saw the slightly puffed top of that 1500uF cap, and for about $5, got a pack of them, and replaced it, and it works perfectly.

RED LIGHT KEEP BLINKING ON MY ML-2510 PRINTER IT STILL WORKS , WHY?

Hi there,

A red blinking light on a samsung printer will often indicate that your toner level is low. It will still continue to work until the toner fully runs out. This is Samsung's warning saying that you should think about changing your cartridge soon. I hope this helps.

The red light is blinking and it doesn't print.

There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.

So what is your printer condition? Better know what is going on your printer so can solve the problem.

I have a ML-2510, I turned it on and both the red light and green light flash constantly. Will not feed or print.

This answer may be a bit late but if this flashing of the red and green light is accompanied by a sound of a motor starting and stopping over and over, it is NOT toner, but a defective capacitor in the power supply. Here is a photo of the part that is creating the problem. I am not responsible for any harm done to yourself so please make sure you know what you are doing.

Samsung printer ML 2510 series

Maybe the toner is low... According to the manual, a blinking red light:

• A minor error is occurring and
the printer is waiting for the error
to be cleared. When the problem
is cleared, the printer resumes
printing.
• The toner cartridge is low. Order
a new toner cartridge. You can
temporarily improve print quality
by redistributing the toner. See
page 8.3.
• The toner is totally exhausted.
Remove the old toner cartridge
and install a new one. See page
8.4.
• The toner cartridge reached the
end of its life.
