Well the thing is with Digital Camera If there is lots going on (on the computer) your other program might interfer 1st end all processes that might have anything to do with the camera or that may be using any of its features, I would retart your computer as well If you still have any issue uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the camera.
If you're like me, and you have "thinned" out your Windows, or used any of those programs to "speed up" your computer, make sure "terminal" is enabled in your services. For some reason, this wont allow video effects to work. Very common problem. Good luck!
Did you by chance mute it in the computers sound manager or a specific program (msn, yahoo)? These settings tend to over-ride the Logitech console settings.
Your PC has a Sigmatel sound card (or a sound chipset designed by Sigmatel). You will want to choose the Logitech mic for the tuning wizard. What exact error are you getting? Please be more specific with OS being used, applications, etc.
Assuming you installed the Vista driver and not the generic driver in windows, you would also have to set up the sound in the individual IM programmes.
If you have installed the driver but accidently let the pc use a generic one, uninstall the camera software and download this driver and install, ensuring that wherever you download it to is where windows looks for the correct driver.

If you still have no luck, try using the xp driver that will probably be on the cd rom you got with the cam.
Lastly, not all camera makes perform correctly on all makes of pc, it's hit and mis so if the cam does not work under any circumstances, return to the retailer and exchange for a different make.
