Im 42 and have a blood pressure of 131 over 91. Is that normal

Normal blood pressure in the elderly may have a higher number than the normal blood pressure at the age below. Normal blood pressure for female at age 70 is 130/80. For those aged 60 years and over, the recommended blood pressure is less than 150/90.
But if she has diabetes or kidney disease, the recommended blood pressure is below 140/90. Stay healthy.

Normal blood pressure is 120/80. It shouldn't change much with age. But you might see an elevation to around 140/90. If you are less than that, it's normal.

A Blood Pressure of 67 makes no sense, as there are 2 numbers.
For example 150/90
The top number is the Systolic pressure, the pressure when your heart contracts.
The bottom number is the Diastolic pressure, the pressure when your heart relaxes.
Depending on many factors a bottom number of 67 may be very normal.
For example if you are a small elderly woman 67 would not be unusual.
Young athletes in excellent physical condition also have lower blood pressures.

I don't know why you went to the ER.
Nothing you have said so far indicates there was an emergency.

Were you having serious symptoms, or were you merely anxious and checking your blood pressure (or your pulse) by yourself.

I am wondering however if you mean pulse, i.e. heart rate, instead of "blood pressure".
A heart rate of 67 again might be very normal and not need to be changed.

Hi! With your age, it is recommended to take maintenance pills but with your doctor's supervision. But as with your blood pressure, 107/56 belongs to the 'ideal blood pressure' range and is considered as normal. It is not to worry about. But if you feel some difficulties, please visit your doctor for further checkups.

Readings between 120/80 and 139/89 usually indicate PRE-HYPERTENSION or HIGH NORMAL, indicating you don't have hypertension but your blood pressure is higher than what experts consider optimal for most adults. or in my case this is normal, not every one has the same blood pressure. im not a doctor but this should help you if you feel unwell please go see a doctor.

you should be on the way to a hospital in an ambulance
unless you are one of thousands that have got a home blood pressure testing machine and do not know how to calibrate it or it is faulty in which case junk it and keep going for regular tests at the doctors , pharmacists or chemists

Normal nib pis 120/80 for normal weight and size. Pulse standing still is around 70bpm. These are ideal values though. Doctor or nurse can adjust for your variables though.
