How do I get my computer out of safe mode

Usually, all that is needed is to reboot the computer. If it's booting into Safe Mode at every reboot, launch msconfig.exe and check the settings on the "Boot" tab. Make sure NOTHING is checked under Boot Options.

My dell mini is displaying lsass.exe - system error everytime i boot it up

HI gafleming27...

lsass.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.
Do the following to get rid of the trojan
*********************************************************************************************************************
To remove a virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download, install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans, worms, etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! Can't beat FREE!!
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

Have a hp mini 1000...i had a virus on it and i finally got that cleared off but now when i boot up the screen goes to the welcome screen then its just the blue hp slash screen...no desktop, task bar,icons,...

When it seems to have finished "booting up", press Ctrl-Shift-Esc to try to bring up the Task manager. If it allows you to do that, click the "New Process" button and enter "explorer.exe". If Windows is not damaged, this will give you back the Windows "shell" you are used to.

Dell Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 hangs during startup after Welcome screen when user account selected and wallpaper displayed. Next step should have been to display ICONs. If booted in Safe Mode...

Windows file (probably mup.sys) damaged or corrupted. Suspect virus may have done this. If it will not boot to safe mode, then your only real option is to carry out a system repair by inserting the O.S. Cd and at the stage where it looks for a previous installation of windows, carry out the repair, (do not repair at the recovery console stage, wait until the prompt to install windows at the stage mentioned above comes up.)

Once you have it (hopefully) running, then download a command line scanner such as DRWEB and run it in safe mode to remove any memory resident viruses that may be present. I also suggest that you disable sys restore prior to running the scanner to be on the safe side. After any infection is removed, re-apply the system restore.

You can also install another hard drive and install windows on that then the old hard drive as slave and scan it from the newly installed drive. That way you can pull off any important files if needed.

If your u8 has an operating system installed, yes, you can do that.
Be sure to boot the u8 in Safe Mode to copy your files.

I would also recommend checking the copied files for viruses before you use them.

Does not boot properly

Try running the diagnostics (Hold the Fn Key and press the power button or boot to the resource CD) See if the hard drive indicates and failure. If HDD fails, replace it. If it passes, then see if you can boot to safe mode (F8 at boot) and see if you can access windows there. If it does boot to safe mode, try MSCONFIG and edit the startup group and see if the system will boot normally in normal mode.
Other possible issues, fan failure causing overheating, or a clogged heat sink (Use compressed air to blow dust out of air intakes and exhaust) Virus and spyware

Pavilion a622n restarts during boot process

First step is to get to the Safemode menu. (usually done by pressing F8 during startup but before the Windows XP screen). Select "Disable automatic restart on failure" (Something like that - I can't remember the exact verbage. That way when it crashes you will get the blue screen error and it will stop. Then you can further diagnose what is going on. Post back what it says...
