You need to access the projector's menu and reset the lamp timer. that will tell the projector that you have replaced the lamp. The lamp has reached the end of its useful life.

You need to install it professionally as directed by menufacturer, or check the lamp is it new or used.

Epson Projector S05 text is shodow

If the text on your Epson EB-S05 projector is appearing blurry or shadowed, there are several possible causes and solutions to consider:
  1. Check the focus: Make sure the projector is in focus by adjusting the focus ring. If the text still appears blurry, try adjusting the position of the projector or the screen.
  2. Check the resolution: If the input resolution of your projector does not match the native resolution of your display or screen, the text may appear blurry or shadowed. Check the resolution settings on both your projector and your device to make sure they match.
  3. Check the cables: If the cables connecting your projector to your device are old or damaged, they may cause interference or display issues. Try replacing the cables with new ones and see if that improves the text clarity.
  4. Check the lamp: If the lamp on your projector is old or damaged, it may cause the image to appear dim or blurry. Check the lamp hours and replace the lamp if necessary.
  5. Check the settings: Make sure that the brightness, contrast, and other settings on your projector are properly adjusted. Experiment with different settings to find the optimal image quality.
If none of these solutions work, it may be necessary to consult the Epson customer support or to take the projector to a professional technician for repair.

XL-2400 lamp replacement.

I have this exact same problem. I even put the old lamp back in to see if it was the new lamp and the same fuzzy orange/redish hue was still there.

How do I reset the Lamp Timer on my Epson Powerlite 5000?

Have you replaced the lamp yet? You should replace the lamp because if you reset it with the old lamp, it could possibly wear out and explode inside the projector. Reset instructions are in the new lamp box.

Need to replace the bulb in an epson e71 projector

Hi, this is pretty straight forward. Make sure the projector is off and cooled. On the bottom is the Lamp cover, press the two tabs and lift the cover off. Loosen the two retaining screws and pull the lamp assy upwards to remove. Fit the new lamp and tighten the screws then rfit the lamp cover. You will need to reset the Lamp hours using the "About" menu after turning back on (Not the "reset all" menu).
