Pdf is a type of file. Easily opened with a program called Adobe. If you are trying to scan a document, usually you put it face down in the machine like you are going to copy it and there is either a scan button right on the machine or you can open your control panel in your computer and open the scanner and you can do it from there.

You need ot download a PDF printer program like Bullzip PDF printer(free). Google it.
then when you scan the document you print it and select the PDF printer. Name it and then you can email or save it.save it

When you want to scan using the scanning software choose to save in pdf.
Or configure the scanning to save to pdf.

I can"t scan to PDF
Hi


Use the Scan to PDF software to direct convert your scan page to PDF, download the software to click hear
and simple to install to this software, after installing you get the shortcut in your desktop double click that one and open your scaner is automatic install there put the document in scanner and click scan after scanning click save to PDF and give the save file name and save.

I have a epson dx4050 and i cant figure out how to scan with it
usually ..if it is a scaner when you install it it shoud have a software for scaner ..you have to power the scaner ..put the document or picture in ..after that open the scan manager or whatever the software that came with is named..and look for a button scan ...it will scan ..and when it finishes it will open the containing folder..and show you the job s done...usually like tumbnails...this can be opened in full image ...copied..or cut ...or whatever ..they usually remain in that folder for future use..unless choose to delete ..

When copying a document on the brother mfc 7420 only the center of the document is copied, leaving blank spaces on either side of the paper ; the scanner feature and printing work properly
if printer work u have problem with scaner unit! but u say the scaner works properly! so only thing i can sugeest is check your copy settings!

HP 3055 model scaner problem
Document feeder error means that the printer is expecting you to have a document in the ADF "automatic Document Feeder" on top. If you are having this on the laptop, go into the scanner set up on your laptop, and change the device from document feeder to flatbed. It should work fine. You can also mimic the settings from your desktop to your laptop.

yowza...sounds like an OCR engine issue. You know that scanning a document into text format requires you to train the OCR engine, so that more of the text will embed, right? and, when you ask a question here, it's helpful to have the brand of scanner and pc or mac version, as a reference.
