Test page printed, but cann't print picture from Powerpoint? We installed the Hp 1280, printed the test page succesfully but can not print any pictures of graphs - tried in Powerpoint?

I think you must check some things like:
- usb cable is good cable and work correctly.
-your computer USB ports works correctly.
-the power is connected to printer and its work and its leds plink.
-you choose the write driver.

sounds like the computers are not seeing it have the drivers loaded okay,,cartridge contacts may be dirty

If the test page is working in colour then it's most likely your printer settings. Go into the settings when printing and ensure that greyscale or black/white printing is not turned on.

please printer driver setting .. give a print ...select your printer and go to printing preference then go to color tab check for any setting like print in color in gray and print in color ....... select print print in color ......and try ....

Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in the scanner.

Then press the scan button on the printer itself.
(this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)

Make sure that the printer scans the test page.
( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan )
( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )


Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.

When I printed powerpoint documents on a hp deskjet 1280 it failed to print lines. I found that this problem could be solved by changing the transparency attribute of the line to 50%. The transparency attribute of a line or shape can be found by clicking on the sequence format/shape-outline/more-outline-colours/transparency at the top of the screen

try cleaning your printer cartridges, go to printer preferences,then go to the service tab, try cleaning from there.

This is a really stupid product feature on HP's part to waste ink and force people to buy more cartriges.

This is Romeet,i will try and assist you with this. Try un-installing the printer software and delete the printer from the " Printers and Faxes " option. Restart the PC and do a clean installation?

go to "Start", select " Printers and Faxes"

go to your printer ( HP deskjet 3745 ) and right click it and select properties.

Click on " Print Test Page ", tell me what color does the Printout come in.
