When I connect my player to my computer and WMP, it says "Synchronizing", then switches to "No device detected" even though it's still connected. It pretty much does this continuously where WMP recognized the device, then doesn't. Needless to say, can sync anything on to the device.

How do you download songs from computer's music files? I copied and pasted from my library, they appear on the player when connected t computer but are not there when disconnected?

Hello,

Transfers onto he MP815 can be done through exploring 'My Computer':
Music files must be copied into the Media folder of the player.
In this mode, the player shows as a removable disk in the computer folders.
Before disconnecting the player, always go through the safely remove hardware icon in the right corner below on the computer's screen.

When you're using a software program (e.g. Coby Media Manager or Windows Media Player) for transfers, use the help function in the software.
For Windows Media Player 11:
0. The player should be detected when you connect the USB cable.
1. Setup a library in WMP 11 [ Add to Library ], so the player knows the location of your music files.
2. Create playlist: put songs in a list
3. Sync the list onto the player
4. Wait until synchronizing has finished
Do not disconnect while sync is busy: a message appears when you're allowed to disconnect.

Wen i delete music from the library in windows media player it also deletes it from my philips gogear mix how do i stop this

Hello,

Playlists to sync on the player can be set in Windows Media Player.
When selecting the Library or Sync tab in WMP full view, the GoGear is visible on the left side in the list.
The player can be either connected seeing the player's icon or not connected seeing the player's map name.

Right click the GoGear Mix and select Setup Sync...
The box, Sync this device automatically probably is selected.
Prevent the player from unattended synchronizing by unchecking this box: Especially when you're removing lists on the computer frequently.
Setup the the playlists to sync first and synchronize manually after that.
Temporary "Sync this device automatically'' must be selected, to be able to edit the playlists to synchronize.

On the right half of the Device Setup screen there''s the "Playlists to sync''.
Under playlists to synchronize, first remove all playlists or those you are going to delete in the library, before synchronizing.

When needing more information, just post a comment.

Flash mp3 (MC4004) F"n thing making me mad!

Hello,
When the player shows up as a detected device in Windows Media Player 10 or 11, the MC4004 will try to synchronize the playlists that are on the player with those on the computer.
It is possible that playlists on the computer:
1. have been removed or
2. are no longer in the library for synchronizing

Synchronizing can be set automatic or manually in WMP.

When you right click the player in the list in WMP, selected Library or Sync view, you will be able to setup the sync mode of
the player.
For more help look in the help function "Help with Sync" under the Sync tab in Windows Media Player.

Media problem

General system error means it's software is corrupted, just reprogram it. It cannot detect by pc because it have no identity at, just reprogram it and it will work fine, maybe it's infected with the virus while you're synchronizing with your pc.

Sony Walkman NWZ-S615F problem detecting and syncronizing

I had the same problem. One day my Mp3 started acting weird and said it was not recognizing the files and that i needed to re download them. Try plugging it up to your computer while its charging and hit the power off. Then reset your mp3 with the button at the bottom and it should recognize it.

Iriver x20 - freezes and wont show as a connected device to pc

When you connect the PMP to the computer does it say your new device is ready for use or something else like 'the device has malfunctioned'?

I have the same issue that frequently the computer won't see the PMP. Keep trying it sometimes works. If not then its likely that the harddisk is dead or dying.
